This conversion is beautifully made. I would love to see this layout on a 144. The elevator bed is nice but a hassle for tall people so maybe a murphy bed would be better. Still, every detail is breathtaking.

We have definitely played with the idea of a Murphy bed! Could work well, but you lose the windows and some space in the living room. Definitely worth it for the right person!

Are the windows clear or frosted by default? In other words, what do you get if you lose power?

The electromagnetic film (aka "Smart Glass/Tint") has liquid crystals embedded in the film, that when an electric current is applied the crystals align, allowing you to see clearly through the glass. That being said, when the electric current is cut off (the power is shut off) from the windows, the crystals inside the film will scatter and the glass will become opaque. However, that shouldn't be an issue with this van, as it has an enormous power bank in it with multiple options for power sources. The solar setup alone, can essentially run indefinitely, as long as you have a few good sunny days a week to keep the batteries replenished. But even if you were not in an area that provided enough sunlight, you could quickly recharge the batteries by starting and running the engine for a little bit, using the van's alternator to charge up, or you could plug the van into an electric source through the shore power connection.

the problem with the toilet is it costs around 1,5$ each time you flush two persons, going 4 times a day, its 12$ daily. Thats around 360$ in toilet flush each month.

I agree with you. What is worse than background music and people trying to talk over it, is loud music between dialogue then one has to adjust volume all the time. I just change the channel so I sometimes miss out on great content.

i actually love this layout and even the elevator bed but only a fool would sleep on the couch underneath that bed- not doubting your mechanical skills but accidents do happen and someone would easily be crushed to death in an instant if the bed fell on them, especially with the added weight of two people sleeping on top of it
