This was my very first piece of Macrame and I did not find it difficult at all. I watched some parts a bit slower, that really helped. This first hangar was a birthday present for my aunt and now my mom and my grandma want some too. 😂 Thank you for the video! 👍🏻😊

I also used 3mm cord and cut them at 80" (203cm) and the 4 outer cords for the twists were still too short. I'm facing the same dilemma. I don't want to cut all 8 cords really long because then there is a lot more waste. I only wish to cut the 4 outer twist cords longer, but don't know how to identify in which order to place them on the ring.

смотря какой у вас шнур, здесь у меня тонкий шнур и само кашпо очень маленькое, если шнур толще, то и длина будет больше

If using 5mm, you will need 300 cm cords for the strings size. Or it just ends up being veryyy small.

I really need to ask why some of my strands, especially the ones I used to make the spiral knots ended up being so much shorter than the rest that I could not complete the piece because I ran out of chord at the bottom? I also ended up using 3mm chord because thats all I had. So right off the bat I was too short.

I had a hard time with that part as well. I slowed the play back speed way down so I could see exactly what their fingers were doing and that really helped me.

Thank you. The thicker you take the cord,the longer it will be. Usually we choose the length as follows: take the estimated length of the product and multiply it by 4, we get the length of the cords. And we must remember that we take the cords folded in half, so the resulting length must also be multiplied by 2.

To make the product bigger, you need to take a thick cord. If you take a cord thicker than the specified one, then the length of the cords should be taken more.

It's true. I made one that needed 2.5 mm with a 3 mm cords. The cords were short. Knots were thicker AND took More of the base cords so i needed longer cords

As someone who is brand new to this, it wasn't too difficult. HOWEVER, this holder is not meant for anything larger than a 2" pot. You'd be pushing it at 3". I was able to put my TC Billietiae in a toddler dinner cup and use it. Anyone have another pattern similar except MUCH bigger?
