I am a quick study so after readying some other reviews and wondering about the length I too decided to heed the warnings and I used 7 1/2 feet and it worked great. Thanks for letting others know!! Saved me some grief. I do love the plant hanger and am always looking for something new and different.

Great holder. I took 6x 200cm 3mm twisted cord, but they were too short in the end. I would recommend take 300cm.

I have tried two of your works and I find them easy to follow. Going to do this one next. I am from Malaysia and have a problem getting the proper macrame cords, beads and wooden rings. I have substituted them with parcelling cords,metal rings but could not get proper beads,so I just made a square knot in its place. Not so pretty looking. Thank you so much. ❤

I used your directions but the cords turned out being too short (especially the middle cords) both in this and in another tutorial for a plant hanger. Maybe if someone reads me, make it definitely longer! ;) Nice tutorial anyway, thank you!

I wish I would’ve read your comment before starting! I did the metric conversion 200cm = 6ft. NOT long enough :( Definitely going to have to start a new one but will do at least 7 1/2 ft cords next time just to be on the safe side.

@@michellebradley8299 Michelle and Maria Teresa It’s exactly what happened to me! The dimensions and details aren’t correct. It turned out to be too short in both this tutorial and another one of Olga’s. I needed to watch another tutorial that teaches how to make the cord longer in the middle of a project when it gets short. It disappoints me. Overall Olga has good creativity patterns but the lengths are not accurate. When I see 1.80M or 2M, now I’m automatically double the cords lengths on her tutorials. Another thing- it doesn’t mention the type of the cord. There’s a twisted cord A braided cord And a single one. Not every beginner notices the different right from the start.

Yep same here, first time, a very frustrating experience with constantly replaying slowmotions to get the right knot, and then finally at the end... the cord is too short 😭😭😭😭 well... better luck next time 🤪

Okej. I did this twice and here is what I think. First time I listened to the tutorial and didnt see the comments. The length is waaaaaaay to short, you need to double it. So I guess the cords where meant to be measured doubled. Not obvious for everyone.. Two: the strings are to separate so the risk of the plant ending up on the floor is a windpuff away. In conclusion.. Please double the strings and make two extra knots on the sides so that your plant is steady. Thank you!!
