Great tutorial! I'm starting my first large to XL wall hanging/back drop and it has a sash of the double clove diamonds... this was perfect to help give me an idea of how to do the sash, ty 😊

I attempting to make this today... I have no idea how long to make the rope, but I’m gonna give it a go. Thank you for posting this. 🙏🏻 Edit: Another person asked how long to cut the rope ...approx 2 meters each rope.

Me encanta su trabajo, no hablo inglés, me encantaría que pusiera las medidas de los hilos escrito, lo demás se hace de muestra. Mil gracias

Thank you for sharing. Can you share the length of cord that you used for this one? That is the hardest part for me, figuring out the lengths of cords. Thank you!!
@LotsofKnotsCanada5 жыл бұрын
I cut around 2 meters for each strand (then folded them in half and attached them to the dowel) for this pattern but I cut the cords with the intention of using them for a few tutorials so I don't think that the lengths are quite accurate. Here are my general guidelines (hope they help) - cut your roe 4-8x the length of the finished wall hanging. For example, if you would like your finished wall hanging to be 1m in length, cut your rope 4-8m in length and then use Lark's Head knots to attach (one strand then becomes two strands that are 2-4m in length). Keep in mind that a more complex design will require more rope.

Apologies, this is off topic, but do you have a video explaining how to get a finished project off the "working dowl"?
@kimgriff64384 жыл бұрын
Why would you take off the dowl? most people hang with the dowl.

What are you using to hold the dowel?
@LotsofKnotsCanada5 жыл бұрын
I hang the dowel off of a clothes rack. I use "S" hooks to hang the dowel which I purchased from Home Depot but if you are having trouble finding them you can also use some string to hang your dowel!
