I just found your channel, and oh how I love your work! I'm old, and in the 1960s and 70s; macrame' was very popular... i didn't have the time or space to dedicate to it, but now I do, and this is exactly what I was looking for for my room dividers! I am a knitter; and this pattern looks like intricate cable knitting. I need to make two of these; each 36-40 inches wide... this initial pattern measures by your rod dimension; 40 cm; which is a little over 15 inches... how do I measure the right amount of cording to make it the width I want; which is 36-40 inches ( 101.6 cm)? Thank- you so much for sharing your amazing talent; and making such great tutorials!

I recommend you using a thicker rope because the work will get bigger. Then you need longer cords..😂 It is not easy to measure the length of the rope to be used accurately. It depends on the thickness of the rope and the pattern used. Usually, It requires 5 to 6 times the finished size. But because it is used by folding it in half, it actually needs 10 to 12 times. To measure the exact size of the rope you need, you can make one pattern and calculate the length of the rope reduced.
