I actually ended up slightly short on my 3mm twisted cord so I bookended the sides with a few strands of 4mm (because I had purchased some). it looks fine and you wouldn't notice even tho it's a tad thicker. I also used the 4mm for the feeder cords because I didn't have enough of the 3mm for that. Seems to be fine...

Super neat! ❤️❤️❤️.. by the way, did you trim the end of the rope? I'm planning to remake your work using 4mm rope with a 1 m dowel, and the width of the final macrame will be 90cm. Do you think i should prepare the length of the cord 400cm or 350cm just like you did? Thank you so much looking forward to your reply ❤️❤️❤️
@LETBE
@LETBE 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much~~!!😄💖 I trimed the end of the cords. But I don't remember how much I cut..😂 If you're going to use a 4mm rope, you should add at least 100cm. Because you're going to fold the cords in half. And if the horizontal length will be longer, the vertical length should be longer as well to fit the overall balance, so it's better to use enough cords~~

Hi. I have just done this magnificent piece. The video is easy to follow. I had trouble doing the cord filler where there isn't any pattern,trying to keep the cord tight n doing the filler . Is there knack to it or just lots of practice. This is only my second piece that I have done . I loved it so much I just had to do it . I'm happy with mine but it hasn't turned out exactly like yours

Hi~~ Thank you for watching my video~~!!😄💕 It's amazing that you completed your second with this work. If you pull the cord too hard, the knot will be crooked. If you pull the cord too weak, the knot will get loose. You need to pull the cord with the appropriate strength. Practice is the only answer~~ Your work will get better!!

Really beautifull work! If i'd like to make this bigger (120X80 cm) how long should I cut my ropes ? Thanx
@LETBE
@LETBE 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much~~!!😊💕 It is not easy to estimate the length of rope used accurately. It depends on the thickness of the rope and the pattern used. Usually, It requires 5 to 6 times the finished size. But because it is used by folding it in half, it actually needs 10 to 12 times. To measure the exact size of the rope you need, you can make one pattern and calculate the length of the rope reduced. If i were you~~ *Horizontal size : Make the lark’s head knot to the length of the 120cm stick. *Vertical size : Change 350cm to 600cm.

I love your wall hanging 😍 😍 😍 😍 It's soo beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing :D, Can you please tell me if you did any preprocessing to the wool yarn you are weaving in? Was it like this, when you bought it? Or is it a felt wool, because I have bought some not pre-processed felt yarn and the thickness is constantly different.. Can you maybe link the wool or propose similar wool, so I can see if i bought the right one? Thank you!
@LETBE
@LETBE 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, too~~!!😄💖 It is not pre-processed wool yarn. It’s natural the thickness of the yarn is different. Divide it as much as you need, and use it~~ This yarn I used sells only in Korea. It doesn't ship overseas..😂 m.smartstore.naver.com/junglestudio/products/3785255265

What kind of twisted cord do you use? Is it 100% cotton? It seems to have a slip+sheen to it mine does not.
