As a game terrain builder I often make parts held together with magnets, but your" band aid" technique really extends the engineering possibilities. I've already used your dollhouse band-aids for other applications, but now I see how they work so well with magnets. Thanks for all your lovely builds and the many tips and techniques you have shared.

I am so glad it was helpful! I make sure to add a lot of glue inside of the magnet area as well when I add the paper band-aid so that it just kind of incases it. Thank you!

Very kind of you to put this in one video, Ara. This is bound to help out some folks. I have used some micro magnets on action figure joints, as they keep the arms legs and heads on the torsos, but allow for movement for posing the figures.

I am sure someone has asked you this before, but have you ever considered putting out books? You have some of the best tips and tricks that I have ever seen. I just recently started watching your videos as I found you on KZbin. But from what I have watched you could easily do a series of books and I would buy every single one of them.
@BentleyHouseMinis6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I haven't thought of putting out any books so far but I might have enough to write something after I finish the Beetlejuice house to write something about foamboard dollhouse building techniques. I will keep that in mind!
@kimberlygregory29006 ай бұрын
@@BentleyHouseMinis you could do a book per project and I would absolutely buy it. The Addams family House you built with all of its furniture and accessories would make a huge book. And that way you could do measurements and more detailed physical instructions. But if your other fans are like me I promise you you would sell some books.

Thank you Ara. With the dimensions of your magnets, I was able to compare them to the magnets I have. They are, rare-earth neodymium magnets also. Mine are smaller, which is ok. I'm just working with card stock (65 lb) making folios. I looked on Amazon and found smaller pin nails (.5 inch). These are not only shorter but are not as wide. I have some washers to use with the magnets, but may switch to pin nails. I appreciate you going through all the videos finding the information about the magnet walls. That little peek of the underworld, at the end, got me excited about Beetlegust. It's going to start soon!! ❤

Very good tutorial! To be honest I was thinking of making a closing for my doll house but magnets I have are way to weak for MDF and I didn't find proper hinges [bigger than 1cm, but smaller than 3 hehe] . Any way - I think magnets are great solution when you want to keep whole exterior finished or when you want to move some walls inside of house [like a hidden library or stuff like that] 😊

I love this video. I think I will do some noodling of my own as well. With the nail part of the wall, do you think that matching washers would also work?
