Kimberley, though I'm sure some people may actually wear it on an everyday basis (it's a very bold choice and I applaud anyone bold enough to do so!), for those of us who can't seem themselves wearing blue on a regular basis, it is very good for cosplays or Halloween costumes. This is a fantastic method if you can't find a colour that you need for a certain costume. You also don't have to make blue if you don't want to. This is a great method for any colour of lipstick that you would like, and doesn't cost too much either, which is great if you're like me and don't have a whole lot of money to go spending on cosmetics (as much as I would Love to have that kind of money) Hope that helped answer your question! :)

It works better if you use a double boiler method and coconut oil instead of olive oil and let the crayon completely melt together with the oil instead of adding it after.

Better method, water boil it, put a bowl you don't care about in the water and mix the crayon in the bowl with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Then put it in a small container for safe keeping and let it dry BOOM.

I think it's neat to make your own lipstick so you can get a color you really want. But crayons are made of wax. Just made me think that we are putting wax on our lips.

Have you ever read labels on lipstick and lip balms? There's all kinds of wax in many of those products! Any lipstick is basically a combination of coloring, wax, oil and/or emollient (skin softening or soothing agent). And they use paraffin wax to help harden chocolate coated candies. You eat or apply wax to yourself more often you might realize.
