this is a good idea. although, foam boards will easily fold or bend so i suggest that if you're gonna make this, put some support under it.. and also, cut the foam board once only so it will not turn out messy

becauseimcrafty that's good then. we use foam boards for architectural modelling so i thought it would collapse easily when you push and pull the brushes. anyway.. i'm gonna do this soon :)

which kind of foam piece did you use?

The foam that holds the brushes is just regular craft foam. The board is like a piece of foam almost styrofoam like in between Bristol board. I think it was called craft board, usually found by the Bristol board at a craft store or dollar store. I hope this helps :)
