I always love seeing DIY videos! I recently completed my micro braid locs. I am excited to do my first retie. I actually had SL for a short period of time, and it was quite costly to maintain. Right now my hair is a shorter length than yours, and I find that using the crochet hook you showed in the beginning actually works for me with my shorter length. I think as it grows I may use a crochet needle. TYFS!

Hey there Nikkie!!!! I feel like I will eventually cut my relaxed ends because as it grows out, I think the difference in texture will become more noticeable. Of course I love that I was able to keep my length when I started, so we'll see. I definitely don't plan on doing it any time soon though. Thank you so much; I'm loving this journey thus far!!!

It looks great. I did my own retie. I use a metal tool, love it! I couldn't do the latch either, kept pulling my hair.
