I did the DIY micro braids into locs. My hair was damaged.. so it was really thin at first. I'm a year in and it's thickening up pretty well. I love it... best decision for me. Maybe I'll do a video one day.

Thanks for showing micro locs on this texture hair which is same texture as mine which is fine and low density. I’m trying to decide between whether I should get micro locs or sisterlocs. I’m told the sisterlocs are smaller than micros and grid is different which I’m not concerned about the grid as long as it’s neat. If you have any advice please share thx.

Glad it was helpful! I wish I had found someone that could have done microlocs or a consultant that did medium to large locs (considering they are all really small compared to traditional locs). I do not like the really skinny ones in my hair (toothpick size) which is why I have combined some and will be combining more. I say unless you want the name tied to Sisterlocks then Microlocks should be fine.
