Hey Tay!! I loved this update and I can't believe it's almost been 2 years since you loced your hair. I used your grid and week long loc establishment video to establish my loc which I just finished last week. I am happy that I came across your video because it helped me so much to loc my hair. Like you keep saying can't nobody tell me nothing cause I know my hair is fire 🔥 thanks to you. So thanks again and keep the great content coming.

I’m glad you took time to show us your before. Happy to see I’m not the only one with unruly locs that turn into jungle roots. Currently 9 months with 300 braid locs. I have a few spots in my hair where my hair refuses to grow with the loc 🙄 hopefully with time that changes because cleaning up parts is time consuming

I have been wearing faux locs for the better part of 2022. Within the past hour, I have gotten a strong urge to loc my own hair. I am three KZbin videos in, have yet to watch a full video, and am completely in love with your hair!!!! I cannot take my eyes off of it and you are the one that is convincing me to get it done! YOUR HAIR IS GAWDJUSS!!!!

Tayyyyyy...ur locs are FLAWLESS 🥰 🔥🔥 I see where I'm going wrong with mine... I have braidlocs BUT I saturate my ENTIRE loc😩 you saturate the scalp👍🏼👌🏼 my next retie, I'm doing THAT👏🏼💯 I do believe that by wetting the entire loc, THAT is WHY I have sooo many loose hairs every time😖 and I have to retwist the hairs around the locs...ughhh HARD LESSON LEARNED after 1yr now, but going forward I got this... My first Locaversary was 4/5 and in 12 months I see a difference for sure 😊 They're starting to drop and length is showing, PLUS some have actually loced at the ends in the back nape area 🥳 Thx for always bringing the update and letting us get into your hair honey 😘 I've followed you from day 1 on my journey and my sister says my braidlocs look like micro locs now🥰

Great great great video!!!!!!!! The way I learned the 3-6-9-12 method real quick from you and understand how to get them to lay properly is amazing! I just started my locs with two strand twist. I’m gonna make my twist smaller so my locs can be as small as possible.
@annathomas19962 жыл бұрын
Also, I got to the part about having the final pass on the loc in a different direction so as not to put tension on the scalp. In that situation, my sisterlocks technician always puts the tool through but doesn't pull it through at the root. It's a little bump for like a week then I pull it through myself. So in the end all the locs still fall in the same direction

I got my hair ties and headbands from Walmart, I believe. I love them because they are more of a stretchy fabric than the typical ouchless bands. Like a very thick opaque stocking and came as a set. I got black, but can't remember if they came in another color. There's no glue for them to pop when they get old. If I go to the store, I'll look for them and get a picture.

Your hair is so beautiful! But this video has helped me decide that microlocs aren't for me right now. It's gonna have to be traditional. I'm in med school, have a family, and my time isn't my own. I spend an entire day on my loose hair every few weeks as is. I figure it out. But I can't see myself being able to do what you do lady. I'm glad you do though! 💙 It's such a joy to watch and the results are _stunning._ First time visiting. Can't wait to see more of your journey!
@TayLaDawn2 жыл бұрын
I completely understand. It can be time consuming. Traditional locs are beautiful and is something I would consider if I was to do my journey over again! However, I do love the fact that it only takes me 2 days every 1.5 - 2 months for the upkeep of my microlocs, so it isn't too bad :)

I always try to gauge how many rotations I need if I do a full rotation and I see that I only have enough for maybe about two more points I'll end with a two-point rotation so for instance I'll do 3 6 9 12 3 then back 12.... But you really do a wonderful job

My daughter lives in Chicago and she pays $160 for her reties. It takes her loctitian about 3-3 1/2 hours to do hers. She has about 540 locs, they were quite long initially but as they loc further down the loc they're shrinking up. She's probably a few inches past yours right now. Maybe that'll give you some idea on cost....

Your locs looks great thank you for the update I wanted to know if it's okay to do locs if you have alopecia do you think it saved my dermatologist and I like her because she's black she said it was okay to do it just don't do it tight and she's been working on my hair for quite a while and it has been growing back quite a bit yeah I've been using the biotin and for some reason it just didn't work and now we found out why it didn't work so hopefully once my medical issue is finally fixed it'll grow back even better
