Do you separate your roots in between your reties? If so, when do you do it and how long dies it generally take you because *tuh* it takes me a HAWT minute after washes..😅

Also, do you mind doing a microloc tour of your different locs?

Hey hey! I usually separate right after washing but I get a retie every 4-5 weeks so it’s very rare that my roots get stuck together. In regards to the other comment, what do you mean by a tour 😅 I’m not familiar with this concept

@@danieocam see I’m also on a 4-5 retie schedule with my loctician, but I’ve been trying to wash every other week and separate my locs then but it’s soo time consuming and also end up having more popped hairs than the easy ones that just separate with ease so it’s a little disheartening overall. When your locs do marry, do you pop them apart or cut them or just work the hairs loose? Oh and about the loc tour, I’ve been seeing videos of people with locs showing the differences in their locs such as the longest, the thinnest, the thickest, the most problematic, the favorite, the most unique, etc etc.

@@juojuobeanz98hmmmmm 🤔 have you spoken to her about this? Also are you banding and braiding? Your hair could just get really fuzzy at the roots and may be during the week. You might need to run your fingers through your roots just to keep them separated. Because this just sounds like you have really fuzzy roots and that’s why they’re getting stuck together like that. I’m curious as to why they’re getting so stuck together though. The only time I have had this issue is if I go swimming and wash my hair because then my roots get a bit matted. But to be having this issue every week they might be something that you need to talk to her about and see what she can suggest. And OK, I totally get it. I can definitely do something like that. I just have to find those individual locs L O L.

@@danieocam actually I have, but she mentioned that I just do my best and she’ll get to the problematic ones during my appointment. I am no braider, but I do band when I wash my hair…but the problem of my roots marrying comes and goes as I’m only 1yr and 7 months loc’d and I’ve just recently attempted at regularly washing and separating every 2 weeks instead of waiting for my retie every 4-5 weeks which can be a little on the uncomfortable side. But maybe with the new routine the problem will go away overtime

Hey! Typically how long do your reties take to complete?
