I appreciate the part talk. Sometimes we hear shaming for being “obsessed with the grid” but we are slowly learning that yes, it does matter.

I went through some of the same struggles on my first retie, but the second time I really took my time and it went a lot smoother and faster. Once you get used to doing it, it becomes a lot easier in my opinion😁

I am soooo tempted to get microlocks. But my scalp is temperamental. I get buildup and itching so easily. But I am sick of hiding my hair under extensions. I just want to be naturally me. Edited to add that your hair is beautiful!

Greetings and welcome! I felt that. Honestly you really won't know unless you go for it, but I completely understand the fear of the unknown. Whatever decision you go with, I hope it brings you peace, happiness and joy. I appreciate your kind words and support! A also love your name by the way 💜 Peace, love and blessings to you.

Is it buildup from products that's causing the itching? Cause with microlocs you kinda just need water and oil, no buildup and it sometimes helps with other scalp issues because of the no products/chemicals part.

@@iamdanie_. No I have seborrheic dermatitis. I don't use any products but my scalp flares up 3-4 days after washing. And I know when you get locs they say that you can't wash your hair for some time so that they don't unravel at the beginning.

I understand, I just braided and banded in the beginning and it worked great. Now I barely put anything on my scalp 💜

How long after your installment did you do your first retie?

Hello, I think it was like 2 weeks after. I wish I would've did it the same day though

@Channel Lowery Thank you so much! I appreciate you! Are you thinking about doing your reties yourself?💕

@@SocialSymone You're so welcome! Keep up the great work. Yes plan to do my own reties. We'll see how it goes but I'm used to spending ALOT of time on my hair so I think it will be manageable lol

Thank you for your support! I believe in your ability to do your own reties, and I'm sure you'll do a great job. You've got this, and the time you invest in your hair will be worth it. Enjoy the process and embrace the empowerment that comes with taking care of your own locs. Best of luck! 💜
