I built this for my wife and it has been her favorite build of mine ever. Kudos to you for posting this build walk-through! Just a little tip... if you have 1/8in plywood and it warps on you, I was able to glue a small brace to the backside of my doors, just past the door handles and out of side that straightened up the doors nicely.

Built this project. Awesome 👏🏻 thanks for posting. Used some hairpin legs as a slight modification. Didn’t do the iron on banding either, I was ok with the look of the plywood edges, especially since I used a darker stain on the top and shelf to match our floors. Fun project.

Hi, I like your show and I'm pretty new to this and I was wondering about what necessary tools that I would need and what kind of brands of saws and drills you recommend.
@ModernBuilds8 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot. I'm not really a tool brand guy.... Most of my stuff is used or from harbor freight. I would start by getting a table saw, drill and chop saw. You can do most projects with just that... And clamps.

Where did you get all the clamps that you used to hold it together during the glue process?
@ModernBuilds8 жыл бұрын
Most of my clamps came from my grandpa. You can get pretty cheap pipe clamp kits on Amazon, or Harbor Freight has really good deals on clamps as well.
@FamedJa8 жыл бұрын
+Modern Builds I just bought 4 clamps today from Harbor Freight, I will buy two more if I decide to do this TV stand (right now I'm working on an end table!). Someone else asked, how did you fasten the wood pieces together? Just wood glue, or are there screws I'm not seeing?
@ModernBuilds8 жыл бұрын
Awesome! You can never have enough clamps. I just used wood glue, I've had a couple people tell me that only using glue isn't going to hold, but so far it's as study as can be. You could always put Brad nails if you want, but I've done a few furniture pieces without fasteners and they've all held up fine.
@Ahoe218 жыл бұрын
+FamedJa you should try dowels. They increase stability by a ton and don't show on the outside either. Wood glue will hold until you put something heavy on it...or move it around over a lifetime.
@filmmaster9876543218 жыл бұрын
