She is lovely! I think she lives a quiet life in her little cottage, happy in her solitude, until one stormy night there is a great CRASH as something hits the tower of her cottage. She puts down her book and goes to investigate to find an injured dragon in her back yard! The dragon, having fun fishing, misjudged the time and incoming storm and was caught in the storm at night while returning to his cave. A bolt of lightning stuck him and he dropped, striking the fairies tower as he fell to earth. The fairy helps the dragon heal and watches him fly off home after the storm passes. The dragon visits the fairy each time he flys out to fish, takes naps on her roof to ‘keep her company’ and tries to ‘help’ the lovely little old fairy. Some days the dragon would leave things he thinks she needs on her doorstep, a fat fish, a deer hide for warmth and one time he left apples...still attached to the tree! (Lets face it dragons cant reeeeally pick individual apples now can they 😂) Though she tells the dragon he doesn’t need to do these things and that she is fine, he doesn’t listen and continues to visit and spoil his little old fairy. She gives in and accepts that she now has a dragon friend. The grumpy look you see one her face is because her dragon has just landed on her roof again and has called out for her to ‘come and see what he has found for her!’ She just hopes it isn’t something slimy this time...

I think she is like a "mentor" fairy. She is older, and has mentored many many young fairies. She has taught them well, and is proud of them. However, she is annoyed that none of them come to visit her anymore. Maybe she has an album full of their pics, or maybe she has pics of them all over the house, to try and keep them close, and she looks at them all the time. She doesnt have children of her own, so these are her kids. She doesnt have a husband either, so when her tower collapses from a strike of lightening, she has no way to fix it. She wishes some of her fairy children would come help her. (She looks amazing Ara!)

She’s so cute 😍 A tip for making yarn hair: use a pet brush to comb it out, it works much better and if you want straight hair use a hair straightener on low setting or pour boiling water on the strand (hair straightener works better), also 100% acrylic yarn works best. Sincerely Doll Customizer 😉

She reminds me of the Marvelous Mad Madam Mim (Sword in the Stone), who my son says reminds him of me. (I'm okay with that, I am a bit like her and Winnie Sanderson). With the yarn hair, start off with a pet brush and then use hair straighteners to straighten it. I also watch Hextian and he makes yarn hair this way.

She is so cute. This technique seems so much easier then clay. For the hair, if you unbraid the yarn, use a wire cat brush to brush it out, then use a flat iron, the yarn will come out as straight hair. I've done that for a few of my bjds. As always love your work. Have a great and safe week

Wow....Toilet paper and glue. I would not have thought you could make a proper face out of that. I is impressed! I love that whispy hair! The step that makes it straight is a hair straightening iron. Though it seemed you did well without it. :) She looks like she fits that house quite well. Toilet paper fairy. That just...cracks me up. Maybe she's annoyed because of the toilet paper shortage becase she has to grant all those 'extra roll' wishes.

Fabulous, really inventive - loved watching the whole meticulous process. Adore her hair, that worked brilliantly. I think she should have a sister though - that is always happy and cheerful - part of her back story could be that they've always been seen as opposites and that Mrs PW is really very kind, while the smilely happy fairy could be quite mean and exacting. Either way, another fabulous make.

It's cool to see a figure created out of paper. I have several fashion figures about 20 years old made from straight and mache toilet paper. I didn't know what polymer clay was back then. I'm simply mesmerized by watching you create things from seemingly nothing lol. I love the name Ms. Periwinkle Nightshade. Perhaps she's glum from a broken heart. When she was young her beau went off to make his fortune and promised to return for her but never did. She's not really mean just lonely. Then she finds an injured fairy dog (yes already watched the doghouse video lol) and nurses it back to health. Little does she know it's her beau who was cursed by an evil crone. Now how does she find this out? Then how to break the curse so they can be reunited and live happily ever after in the lovely cardboard house???

I think what I’ve learnt from doll customising channels re: yarn hair is to comb it out with what looks like a dog brush - the ones used for long haired dogs that have an undercoat. They’re sort of wide rectangle shaped with wired bristles that help make the yarn go to that soft bulky “hair” look rather than yarn strands. That being said I think you did a great job! And you’d never guess it was all made from mainly toilet paper!

Suggestions: 1. Maybe add pointy ears, since fairies also have pointy elven ears. 2. Maybe make a cardboard disk and glue to the bottom of your cardboard criss cross, under the dress. This would 1. Give it more stability and you could also add your weights to it, to make it maybe easier. 2. The disk would also close off the bottom view, to hide all the inside guts, for those who are snoopy to look up her skirt. Just a couple ideas. Using this video, maybe some fairy dragons possible. They look like tiny dragons with butterfly wings. If you either use your sock chair tie die method or I was thinking silky butterfly/tie die color hanky/kerchief material and combine that with your fairy wing method. Maybe the way you made the fairy hand cut out you could make scales out of paper or foam paper

Great tips! I think if I was ever to give this project away I would pay more attention to her skirt area! I like the idea for the fairy dragons too!💖
