Beautiful bed, and a timely video. I've started making a Barbie bedroom and have so far made the side table with a painted on wood grain effect. I'm also working on a matching dresser and bed. These tips will be helpful. I love the level of realism in your crafts. I don't often see this kind of detail in 1/6 scale.

Aaw I'm so glad this is useful! I also have just started working on my Barbie's bedroom (I guess it's true that great minds think alike 🤩😂). And thank you! I guess perhaps some 1:6th creators keep their project simple to make them suitable for children? Personally I love working in 1:6 since you're working on something relatively big and that gives you the chance to add many little details. Good luck on your mini bedroom, sounds like you’ve already made a lot of progress! 😍

Because of their tininess, the knots add to the scale illusion. If you don't have a wrecked old brush for woodgrain, you can use what's called a rake. And if you hate sewing, try dabs of Fabric Fusion applied with a toothpick. Just fine for hems.

Is it something like Fray Check? I absolutely adore Fray Check, but not as a substitute of hems, more of a reinforcement if that makes sense 😅

@@hellemaigaard9850 I think I used ochre and a little bit of sienna brown, but the cardstock I used was already a very light brown/beige (not sure of you can tell from the video) so that helped 😄
