if you wanted more in your garden look up the three sisters method when your corn is tall enough plant cucumbers or zucchini around it it will be ground cover for your corn and then plant peas they trellis up your corn.

I have a suggestion, don’t put your bird feeders in the garden…the seed swill drop down on the mulch and you will start getting weeds growing in the flower beds will defend the purpose of the mulch, plus the birds will poop all over your flowers and whatever else is growing…I would put them somewhere on the grass away from your flower or vegetable beds…

Kimi do you like to diy just a idea for you and a little cheaper you can do terra cotta pots about 4 it took me for the high I wanted them 1 terra cotta tray for top smaller then 1 larger size on bottom I spend about 65.00 plus I painted the outside the color I wanted I even added a small terra cota pot for bird food I got the idea on pinterest change a thought can wait to see what you decided to do everything looks so good and I'm excited to see some corn growing

Wood ash is great at detering slugs, snails. Don't spread it around acid loving plants like blueberries, strawberries. You can use it in compost piles.. Wood ash is alkaline, so put it around plants that can tolerate lime in soil. Also spread it out well on your grass as it will help improve soil. Use Wood ash around roses using a light scattering every month or two, dont put chunks of it around the roses, needs to be sifted so it resembles fine ash and dug in to soil ❤❤

Kimi, those look like peat pots that your corn is in. If you don't completely cover them up with soil, they act as a wick and will dry out the roots and kill your corn.

It would take some work definitely but if you add a broader all the way around your home from the outside from the bottom of the siding a foot out and added gravel or rocks and plants it would give it so much curb appeal and be cleaner and easier to maintain-the fire pit looks good with the pavers under it-adding some chairs around it-giving you a cozy place to sit and chat and hang out would be nice

The cat wanted to help plant corn. Lol. Anytime the ground is that hard you can soak it with water and it will be a lot easier to plant and your corn roots dont have to try to chisel their way through the ground. Bless your sweet family.

Hi kimi I think I saw you with a tiller. If you till the ground first, you could’ve get your hold in faster and you wouldn’t get so hot and tired. Then put the black stuff on top of the ground. Corn have deep roots. You probably need to take it out of those little pots if you didn’t do it already. you can use your leaf blower to blow that extra straw off your blacktop before cover it if you want to.

I bought the galaxy shade bird bath. And it didn't last no time at all before it had a crack across the bowl and down the stand also. When it got real hot outside it caused it to crack. I have bought many bird baths. I got tired of throwing my money away. So I finally found two pretty metal ones. That I love. After paying $200.00 for the galaxy shade and it cracked I said no more Hope if you buy it it works out for you Kimi.❤ By the way your yard is looking amazing. Hi Kimi, i have 5 blueberry bushes and i am picking ripe ones now, Trying to beat the mocking birds to them. They love them. I only have one completely caged, even the top to keep them out. Have to buy more wire to do the others. Regular fencing doesn't work, because the birds can get in. Love the solar lights. I bought some but they weren't flush mount, but sure wish i had bought the ones you did. Love the scarecrow.

Just a caution on the ceramic bird bath. We purchased one several years ago, a very expensive one. It was great the first year, but then the critters in the neighborhood discovered it and started using it as their personal bathtub and they ended up knocking the secured bowl off the pedestal and cracked it! We were able to repair it somewhat but the raccoons kept breaking it so now its a planter 🤣

Kimi spray weed killer over your red mulch that will get rid of the unwanted weeds. Your ground is very dry, if you water where you want to plant and leave it awhile,the soil will soften and then it's easier to put your plants in.loving your videos.❤❤❤❤🇬🇧
