Thanks for sharing how you made your cases! They show your models well and keeps dust off of them. Great video thanks.

Nice work! One thing I would suggest is taking three scrap pieces, measure inside of box, divide in half and take half the width of the board off and place them inside to keep shelf level. Sort of what you did in beginning of video to nail outer cabinet pieces together.

Love seeing displays. Very nice set-up. You could add some magnets to the bottom of the plex. It will set more flush and help keep down any dust. Really like your channel too. Keep up the good work.

Today drawed mine with 3 seperated shelves,build it,got the light in and used the small mini magnets for the plastic front to keep it closed. Now i got my models in it and space to build some more. Next one will be manheight and wide enough for my european big rigs

They look great just what I'm needing for the new house! I have reels of the WiFi smart leds I'll be hooking up to mine so can control everything from my phone uve been using them for a couple year's in the hobby room for lighting there perfect and cheapish just not the cheap cheap type good one's but no ballast needed just plug n play it is a must for me display cases as airbrushing in the same room just gets extra dusty even with filters running on the booth it's ashame all the hard work and they get wrecked sitting around I was sick of it seeing them in that state!

Killer displays by the way. I don’t build models, haven’t since I was a kid in the 80’s, but I enjoy watching the process. Yeah I’m weird like that, guess you could say those that can’t do…watch lol. Simple, yet nice and efficient. I’m all about that. I believe this is this is how I’m going to display my 1:24 and 1:18 Diecast cars. One question though. How do you get the hinges to lay flat on the plexiglass side, so that the screws coming through don’t hit the top portion of the cabinet? Take care! 👍👍👍

Nice if you have all those tools. Sucks when you're an apartment dweller.
@thomaswilson34373 жыл бұрын
So, use his design, replace it with foam board and light acrylic. Hinges you can make of almost anything that you can tape (fabric will work). You assemble it with a hot glue gun, and use LED tape as your light source. Won't be as heavy duty or hold as much weight (you'd be surprised using thicker foam board), but then you live in an apartment, so you're not going to be tearing up all your walls to mount them. You won't be staining them, so look for the color you want, or sand them lightly, use a plastic adhering rattle can of paint and spray whatever you like. Alternatively, you could run down to a big box hardware store and have them cut strips of thin MDF to use as an outer frame, or have them cut your pieces to the original side and you just assemble it (this cutting is included in your purchase price). You don't have to have a whole lot of tools on hand to do this kind of thing....just the basics. You got this!
