This is awesome! Would you be able to share the full width of the finished frame? I'm trying to mark out a section of my room to fit a twin bed setup.

You didn't show the movement of the bed. Does the swing mechanism work properly for the smooth operation without pulling it too much ?

yes it does, it stays in place when you close it too, i just put a locking pin on the side for extra safety that's all

For the full build you will need 3 full size 4x8' sheets of 3/4" plywood

I don’t have a workshop to do this myself. Is it still possible or would I just be wasting money and making a mess? I’ve never built anything but I’m not totally inept.

I think you can do it, you would need the basic tools like a circular saw and an impact driver and a drill but hey you can always cut the pieces to size at home depot and I would recommend buying the most basic pocket hole jig as it comes in handy for not not only this project but many others too.good luck.

You need a video where doing the same thing basic tools are being used. Don't give up

You could have saved money making the bed box sides shallower so more of the mattress is visible. This would make putting sheets on the bed easier, and with weight on the mattress as it is, you could hit your arms on the sides. If the box was shallower, this wouldn’t happen.

Most of the tools are not essential, you can get away with having the basics, just will take you a bit longer
