Hi Jackie. Great to see you. Hope you and Helen had a fab Xmas. The bird feeder is a great idea. Really rustic and blends in. All the best. Mags

@@thegonepotties hi. We moved last Aug to Clackmannanshire. A few miles from Stirling. It’s a 120 year old cottage with a 1970s extension. We have had lots of work todo in the house with more pending. The garden was very unkempt so I have been wrestling that into shape. It was sooo stressful moving us, arts, chickens, quail and bees. Happy to be though. I have posted some videos of progress so far with loads more to come 😊

Happy New Year to you both! Yes, I'm definitely making one of these in the next few days! I can't thank you enough for that. We're living in an apartment and I struggled to find a balcony feeder that wouldn't annoy the neighbours below. I can tie it to the handrail both top and bottom to prevent it swinging in the wind and making noise. Wonderful to see you again 😀

Hiya Marie, great to see you here , that’s a brilliant idea for your balcony , here’s hoping your neighbours are good ones . Did you get much snow ? X
@mariecurrie76572 жыл бұрын
We've had plenty of snow and very cold weather but for the past few weeks we're going through an unseasonably warm spell... not good for our perennials because the forecast is for a steep plunge from +7C to -20C. 😬🥶

Good idea Jackie. Looks perfect in your yard. I also made a suet feeder this week. Not as fancy as yours. Woodpeckers and Nuthatches love my cooking! :)

They do look great hanging from the tree, I love them . You gave me the recipe for your bird food , I must look for it . The birds definitely know what house has the best food 😂, I’m going to have to look up Nuthaches x

@@thegonepotties They are so fast. I have the white and red-breasted Nuthatches. Woodpeckers - we have quite a few - maybe it's the suet in the winter and the peanuts the rest of the year.

@@thegonepotties Hi Jackie: The recipe is all over the Internet. I used the basic recipe - added extra peanuts chunks. 1 cup of lard 1 cup of chunky peanut butter 1/3 cup white sugar 1 cup white flour 1 cups cornmeal 2 cups quick cooking oats 1 cup of mix seed I mixed all together. If too thick and hard to mix - I just add more lard or peanut butter. Formed the mixture into balls. Lined a cookie sheet and froze the individual suet balls. After the suet balls are solid - I stored them in a freezer container and I think I have enough until spring.
