Hi. I'm African American. My hair was greying on the side edges. I tried the instant coffee pack with a lil v05 conditioner. I applied it on my edges. 2 minutes later, I wiped it off my edges and my hair turned dark brownish black. Thank you so much!!! It worked for me!!!

I have colored my hair with coffee or tea or both for over 10 years; I mostly do this in between home coloring kits (Clairol). I fix one cup of coffee (1 to 2 cups …like I would to drink my coffee or tea minus any milk, cream or sugar). I let the liquid cool a little so that is warm and not too hot, then I add to a spray bottle or squirt bottle and apply to all of my hair. Depending on how much gray hair I have (usually a lot) as to how long I let it stay in my hair (usually 20 to 30 minutes**depends if I’m in a hurry also). I put a shower cap on my head, making sure all my hair is in the cap; above my eyes I roll a few paper towels up, and put that above my eyes and under the cap to catch any leaks so it won’t get into my eyes. I set my timer as I wait for the timer I prepare things for my shower. When the timer goes off; I then remove the rolled paper towels, pull off the shower hair cap & the first thing I do is I squeeze a dollop size of hair conditioner from a coloring kit into the palm of my hand, I apply that to my hair & let it set in for a few minutes as I shave my legs then rinse my hair & walla my grays are covered (true sometimes I have occasionally missed a small spot) but my hair is colored, grays are gone, and my shower is done. I have grays covered for 2 months. If I missed a big gray area I can fix some instant coffee, spray the area and it will color the hair, but I will smell like coffee which I love that smell!! You can also cover a gray area with face powder close to the color of your hair or eye shadow. I have reddish golden brown hair so sometimes I want a little more redness then I will add 2 to 4 tea bags of tea, soak in hot water, cool and add it to my spray bottle. The way I have always done the coffee or tea has liquid I will have to try it with the Dove, thank you for posting this I will have to try that!!!

I actually tried this not expecting it to work . I have blonde /light brown hair and had a lot of grey coming through . After trying this the grey is actually gone and it's just a shade or two darker then natural hair was .. Thanks I will be doing it again . (Other than having very strong coffee smell for a few days ..it was good ) 💚

Hi Well putting conditioner on scalp or root is one of the same thing....which is not good for hair......it would be sticky..and u feel like washing your hair all the time.... secondly people who have more grey hair it will be red head...or light brown head.....you should show on who has more grey hair....then it will make difference....

I am unable to find those instant coffee packets or Dove conditioner packets; the measurement of how many grams for each packet is also missing. You should put it on Gray HAIR FOR EXPERIMENTAL VEDIO... COFFEE WILL GIVE U DULL BROWN COLOR.

I did alot of practice making DIY at home. Coffee ,black tea, Hina each and every thing. All are just temporary with one wash it again the same or sometimes white colour get some odd texture which look more odd. I know a method by which you can get jet black or dark brown hair but at the end method is too lengthy and hectic. The problem is same by two washes again the colour get fade.

i dont think using shampoo will be good to use here. it would fade the colour. infact regarding using henna mask it is good to avoid shampoo on that day. but anyways appreciate presentation and you look pretty
