tried it with shea butter, bees wax, coconut oil, castor oil , and lavender essential oil, it came out well , stays on even for a whole day in a cold day , and hot days once i step out in few mins the hair starts to flail over my face as the wax melts in the heat , so its just the oils , pretty good , thank you

Well done Elise, much deserved success. I have made the hand cream, hair cream moisturiser (which I love), hair grease and multi purpose balm for extra dry skin. All were perfect. I will say it again, you are so generous in your sharing of ingredients and where to get ingredients and it doesn't start with A and end with n...I think it's time they started giving some kind of discount when we mention your name, which I did say to one company. I did note that a number of suppliers are found on A......n but I love the way you promote these companies. Anyway. Keep going. Like you I want to control and create what I put on my skin and hair.

Hi Elise, I wonder why my balm looks like it goes bad after using it (once I introduce wet fingers). I've never experienced that with any butter. I don't add any water based ingredient. I disinfect my tools and packaging. I even tried to solve the issue by using an oil soluble preservative (naticide) but no success. And I also tried different packaging (aluminum, glass, PET). Do you have a idea of what the issue could be? Thanks for sharing 🤍

Great recipe! I did it and I'm really please with that wax effect... I would love to find a recipe for a hair styling creamy/gelly kind of all in one for twists. I have tried, I'm close, but haven't mastered it yet. (water, glycerin, xanthan, butter/oil and emulsifier...) On another note, that pomade make me want to try a hair cream with a tiny bit of wax in it for styling... 🤔

I looked at your website and couldn't find a recommended shopping list or something like that. Like a list of things you think we should keep on hand that are the best and most frequently used items/ingredients for homemade products. Im having a hard time figuring out which are the best ones that I should buy next. I have all the base items... but not enough emollients, emulsifiers, surfactants, and preservatives. I'm all over the place on trying to figure out which ones are the best to buy! Do you think maybe you could make a project out of a list like that? It would be SOOOO helpful to us fans! !!!!
