Your minds aren’t playing tricks on you- this video WAS initially released yesterday! Due to even MORE things going wrong with the project (seriously though, 😂😂), I ended up just removing it to make the changes and reuploaded it today, which is going to totally obliterate this video’s performance initially but it is what it is. 🤦♀️😂 If you want to know what happened (and to catch up on any other current news), check out the “community” tab on the main page of my channel. ❤️ Thanks for watching as always! ☺️

I find that these kinds of videos, where things do NOT go as you think they will, are in fact the most valuable lessons. Thank you for being so honest and allowing us to learn through your experiences! That is a true learning experience.

Best way to deal with sap is actually with heat...heat gun or a REALLY HOT blow dryer. As you heat it up it becomes liquid. You can use acetone it clean it off then seal the area. Btw, recently messaged you on Instagram!

Nice job on the replacement tops. The final color combination was a winner- fresh, light, easy on the eyes, but not generic. Changing to the matte black hardware made such a difference. Not many would bother. You have great attention to detail. Your finished pieces are all the better for it.

Great save! I work with pine boards a lot in the pieces I make, and I love the grain in pine but not the yellow (and sometimes reddish) tones in the wood, which wax seems to intensify. The best way I've found to neutralize that is to greywash the raw wood (very diluted black paint, and it dries a whole lot lighter than it looks when it's wet) before waxing, to get an unfinished (or even weathered) look. Try it on a piece of scrap pine and see if you like it!
@TranscendFurnitureGallery3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great tip! I’ve neutralized pine (and reds like mahogany) with washes before doing a final whitewash, but I’ve never considered simply waxing over one! I’ll try it out :-)

I started doing this only a week ago, and I have to say that your work is really pretty and shows that you have a great taste for colors. please keep sharing with us your work, and feel free to add as many details as possible

Just seeing this video and I have to say I think that you are a very talented artist and woodworker. Just a tip for removing sap from raw wood is try a heat gun on low. Just be careful the heat will darken the wood. Some people like that and some don't. But it does look cool under a white wash paint
