Impecable taste! Anyone could tear a piece down, it’s the arrangement; the pallet of stains, colors and textures of paint; the reassembly; transformation of the piece of furniture into works of art. It’s an other possibility of what that piece could have looked like, without mastication of the structures lines; design. You are an artist. Thank you as well, for sharing your thought process; your passion, creating your art. 🙏

I’ve found that cleaning with bleach then cleaning with ammonia (in a very airy area) almost always gets rid of the cigarette smell. When the smell is gone I recondition the inside of the drawers with a nicely scented wax. Then I usually seal the inside of the case. Nice job on this set of drawers.

Fantastic work! Curious about the wood filler, any I’ve used don’t take stain well.
@TranscendFurnitureGallery
@TranscendFurnitureGallery 3 жыл бұрын
They can be tricky. Gel stains go better over the fillers than penetrating stains do, and anytime you can use sawdust from the same piece to mix with a bit of wood glue to make your own filler, you’ll get a slightly better result than a factory made filler. But another little trick is to use an artist paint brush to apply a small amount of sealer over just the filled area before staining. Often that helps get a more even stain job. :-)
