Another winner! I think they might make nice earrings, if small enough.

That's a great thing!! It's one of those things that intimidates me. I work with mostly flat cabs or squared off stones - roundness has always given me some pause. Thanks, Heather!!

You are very welcome Miyanna. The stained glass nuggets are a bit thick, but great for earrings. I find them a bit chunky for rings.

I liked very much this tutorial. I was just wondering how could we make the spiral in the middle of the cabochon, like the blue one in the middle of the picture.
@HeatherBoydWire3 жыл бұрын
The spiral one is Angela's design here kzbin.info/door/YVZzUvVXBsc1uRRUBGX6sgcommunity?lb=UgyJhpZHARGnaj_exAl4AaABCQ You would have to start in the middle of the spiral and work your way out.

That's nice, of course........ you did it again! Question, I really like using 22 gauge wire, you use a lot of 16. Is there a reason for that? Or does it work best for you? I know, I ask a lot of questions Thank again........... Janet
@HeatherBoydWire3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Janet: I use 18, and 20g more often. The 16g is good for larger suncatchers and more solid rings. This design requires a thicker wire that will hold it's shape.

@@HeatherBoydWire Awesome I love it. I have a teardrop shaped moonstone. I'm going to try to wrap it with this technique. Thank you Heather. Your always so great!!

@@lisacheney4763 Thanks so much Lisa. Have fun with the design. I love NB and was in Bathurst a couple years ago!
@amberm27773 жыл бұрын
22 guage isn't strong enough for single wire designs like this. If you doubled up two pieces of 22 and wove them together then you could use that to wrap in this exact same fashion. That's the only way I could see 22g working here.

Awesome thank you so much great video been looking for this info forever! Will this design work for square as well? I’ve been looking for years for someone to show how to do this with squares and rectangles to use as connecting pieces. Would love for u to give us a video for this thanks again
@HeatherBoydWire Жыл бұрын
Hi Joshlyn: There are some tutorials on KZbin for wrapping square stones: kzbin.info?search_query=wire+wrap+square+stone Here is a bracelet with connecting seaglass pieces that may help too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXbOdalrjJyaeZI You can send me a sketch if you have something specific in mind that I can help you with info@heatherboydwire.com

Hi also about other videos,what do I do if I don't have round players?
@HeatherBoydWire3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ammuajan: You can use round forms like bamboo skewers, nails, knitting needles, pens, etc if you don't have the round pliers. Good luck.
