DIY Ocean Inspired Resin Earrings - Easy Resin Earring Tutorial for Beginners

I love inspiration from anywhere and every where when it comes to creating resin earrings. For this video the ocean with it's vibrant blue color, is white foamy waves, and golden rocky sand inspired these earrings. In this video I take you step by step how to make resin earrings: From the ration you need to use of the epoxy, to the time it takes to stir, to putting in your colors, and then how to piece together each layer of this resin earring.
If you have never made resin jewelry before, don't worry I take you step by step on how to make these beautiful inspired by the ocean resin earrings.

I’m new to resin. Do do you finish off the back side? I have edges. Do you sand? Or? Yours seem so easy! Mine never turns out flat or without having to sand edges. Then I have to reapply resin to make it clear and shiny again. Thanks

Welcome to the world of resin ❤️ I do have to sand but I only sand the edges never the whole back. You can’t always tell if you sand just the edges. And sometimes you will have to add more resin to make it shiny again. Does that make sense?

Hi I just found your channel and your videos are really good but I have a question why not use a UV light to cure faster?

That is a great questions. There are pros and cons to UV Resin and Epoxy resin. So when you use Epoxy resin you can not use a UV light to make it cure/dry any faster. It doesn't work. It just needs to dry on it's own for 24 hours. Now with UV resin you have to be care of how you color your resin. If the color is too dark the light can not penetrate through and the resin will not dry properly. But You can totally do a ocean inspired uv resin earrings or pendant. I have done it, just be careful not to make the blue too dark. Does that make sense? Did that answer your question?

Now I didn't know that the darker on uv resin it doesn't dry??? That's why my earrings aren't drying when I use color.. learn something new everyday. 😅😅😅😊😊😊😊

Place your A,and B in a tub of warm water,or use your heat gun for a few minutes, dust your finger tips with powder ,or corn starch ,it helps while separating, and breaking up your foils

As the white moves into the blue, it works just like flower blooms, it gives the illusion of the foam on the ocean waves.

Any place that sells jewelry making supplies or craft stores. I get them at Walmart, or Joanna’s or Michael’s. Or you can even purchase them on Amazon or eBay. If you search for them online they are called “jewelry Fish Hooks”

Yes absolutely!!! I understand. Gloves - wear them every time you pour Clothes you don’t mind ruining. - just like when you are painting you wear grungy clothes I have a low odor resin and I have an area that is ventilated so I don’t wear a mask or respirator. But they are recommended Use newspaper like two layers so you don’t ruin the table you are using After the resin pieces dry you are going want to sand your pieces wear a mask then. If you get resin on you use rubbing alcohol to get it off you and wash your hands well. Rubbing alcohol helps get the resin off you and your equipment. And to clean molds use tape to clean off them. I use packing tape That is all I can think of. Does that help. If you have other questions please do not hesitate to ask.

That IS funny. No matter how many times I used jdiction it dried in 8 for me. So crazy. That is awesome. I am so happy for you!!! But also it depends on the size of the resin piece. With jdiction bigger pieces dry Much much faster but with small pieces like earrings they usually don’t. So crazy. Mind blown 🤯
