Oddly "this" is how I first got into building cabinets as my friend was a "weed guy" and had lots of vinyl records so I made him a custom cabinet to hide everything for him...in my car there were also "void" spaces for my Glock 19 and extra clips...

Very cool, it's a candidate for another project sans the deluxe top, I think I'd choose hardwood or even a butcher block type top. I came up in the '70's, there were a number of things with "secret" compartments, oil cans, aerosol spray cans, etc... with a bottom that would unscrew revealing a small stash place.

I just discovered this channel! Awesome. Question though….I watched your video on when and when not to use pocket holes. What is the reason you’re able to use pocket holes on the bottom shelf across the grain and more than 6 inches? Thanks.
@EveningWoodworker2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I think what you're referring to is the bottom shelf above the secret compartment. That lower shelf is plywood so you can do pocket screws in any direction and it's pretty stable.
