you can easily find on old electronics. type of diode really doesn't matter its only used to lower the voltage

Sir, I have 8 wires on my lenovo camera. Two of them are coiled (black and red) and the rest are not with colors yellow, orange, , pink, violet and 2 browns. I don't know what wires should be used to connect to my usb cable. Also, is it ok not to use diodes? Please help. Thanks!

Sorry for late reply First.. diodes are important because its used to lower the voltage if u don't use a diode it will work. But the life time of camera module will be very short. So better use. Second.. the video i published is for acer aspire. Different camera have different coloured wires. So the only way to identify the data + data - and gnd and voltage wire is to use a multimeter. You can try a different method but will this might take a lot of time. Or even burn the camera chip. The one two wire in the camera you have is for the mic. It won't be necessary if you want only the camera.

What's the model? If you have six cable thats because there are two wires for mic
