You are the KING of details - purpose-driven details. Awesome! You're helping us SO much! Get a ribbed mat, motion lights in the cabinet, make sure to vent with screens, seal those raw wood edges, strap that TV down, etc 😅 Go Andrew! Your wife is so fortunate. Ooh,it looks so good at night as well. That ribbed mat is perfect! 🎉

Looking AWESOME!!! A few ideas: 1) If you need to, instead of replacing the LED strip with rope lights, just make your own by buying some cheap clear hose and run the strip back through it, then plug the ends with either silicone or hot glue. 2) Paint a cap for the propane valve to match your decor. It'll look better, and stop anything from trying to nest in it. 3) Place a catch bucket under the zappers and feed the bugs to your chickens. Protein for your protein!

If you want to have a permanent install of the LED lighting, use aluminum LED track with diffused cover, and also, use better quality LED's, those will last weeks if your lucky. They just can't handle humidity being out in the open like you installed them. Also seal connections with Dowsil 737 silicone, NOT the home depot stuff! I do a fair amount of custom lighting. I'm NOT trying to be critical, I love the kitchen, Just passing on some experience with thin-strips.

@@brihal6498 Fully tubed (IP67 rated) strip tucked inside of aluminum track has given me the longest life. It's critical to fully weather seal with an alcohol based silicone like Dowsil.

Customers driveway about five years old clean no oil stains. until I showed up I popped the hose how many excavator. No sawdust available nothing!! I mopped it up with paper towels it was not looking good. I had some plain old laundry detergent in my truck a with a soft bristle brush. Looks great! Being here in Florida myself I can tell you there are more attractive and effective ways to deal with mosquitoes, yellow flies, fleas etc. That is to grow lemon grass, peppermint, spearmint and sweetmint and lavender in containers - bugs can't stand the fragrance and it adds a little ambiance to the area. I have it on my patio and it works. You may have an occasional fly-by but that's it.

A good tip for using LED tape is to buy a translucent channeling and place the tape in there. If you get a tape with a lot of leds per meter it will look like a continuous strip rather than seeing individual LEDs. I did that with aluminum channels with a frosted plastic cover. They shipped directly from china. It said what they were on the package but not descriptively, customs felt they needed to open and check them out. lol My strips had leds a little closer and I ran two strips in each one to make them brighter. But I made them for photography.

not sure if you go back and read comments....one of my friends ( an e.r doc) has 5 plus acres and about 50 yards from his house he has what looks like grill from far away. However it repeals bugs from his property and sets a dome around his house field. I dont remember the name of the device. I do know he payed around 10k for it 5 years ago. I can say 100% though everytime i go over there i dont get bitten by any mosquitoes and i live in south east georgia and the bugs are horrific!

Since you dont like the color of the Propane hookup end, how about something to cover it like a PVC cap that you could paint.

Andrew, quick googling shows bug zappers are ineffective against mosquitoes. You need one that is meant for mosquitoes. Some are elaborate and use propane to mimic the co2 we give off & heat.

I've been running one for over a year at my shop and it definitely kills mosquitoes. They flock to it and I dump them out often. I know the rumor is they don't work.

Really like this build, my one suggestion would be put a cap on that exposed gas hook up, just to keep bugs out.

Don't forget to put a plug or cap on that gas line to protect from mud dobbers.

Great video series, I’ll be checking out some of your other stuff. You did leave off one category for the build cost…. The $5,000 in tools I get to buy ;)😂

That's a great looking build. The only thing I do different is I like a 18 inch wide bar top and I like to keep with the standard bar height of 42 inches.

Me being a builder would guess between 6 and 7 thousand dollars to build it yourself and to hire a contractor your looking at between 18 and 25 thousand dollars that’s about what I would be charging a customer and my company is very detailed about the outcome and you did a very good job with all the details. Thanks again for all your videos.

Once again you have done an outstanding job! Have you ever watched Keeping it Dutch on KZbin? They just had a masonry heater built in their house, the guy that did the build reminded me of you, very particular on the work he did. Their heater has a pizza oven/cooker on the top, really impressive heater! Have a great weekend and will look for you on Sunday night!

It's hard to imagine getting a great kitchen for what you got for that price. But with a little research and sweat equity, it can be done. A kitchen build for me would be a bit more challenging. I do a multitude of cooking styles. Of course, my main cooker is my Blackstone. Then I have a barrel smoker, a fish fryer, and a gas grill. And I want to add a stove top range.

I’m a subscriber but to be honest I haven’t watched since wayyy early on in your house build. I think your videos just stopped popping up for me for some reason or another. Anyway I’m so happy to have caught this video today. Awesome job on the outdoor kitchen!! It’s beautiful! My guess was going to be 6,500. Knowing you would have had to pay 3x that if you contracted the work out. But you did a great job! Thought of everything too. I have to to go back and watch some videos- see how your house turned out. I bet it’s gorgeous!! I can’t wait 😁. I’m happy for you guys. Keep up the good work! 💕
