Great project. I would paint the corners black, same color as windows frames. Cover them up with a tape and see if you like it.

Just a thought - you could paint the visible framing around the doors and drawers grey so it blends in more.. either way it looks really good.

Thanks and good idea! I left it cedar because with all the other grays going on I thought it would help warm it up a bit.

Thats alot of work but beautiful results thanks for sharing learn things important things that can be costly and go to wast if not well preped and calculated specially the concreat finish and sink plunging.

Looks nice. Might be a summer project next year. Question, How did you do the drain for the sink? And did you run a gas line for the grill or is that on a propane tank?
@caseystockbridge3 жыл бұрын
Very nice. Thank you. Did you attach to a drain line or just put a bucket under the sink? It may sound like a silly question but I've heard it can be a pain connecting to the drain. I guess it depends on the existing plumbing.

I work with concrete tabletops and countertops all the time. Concrete is the last thing you want (in the long run) near greasy hamburgers, etc, off the grill. It looks nice for a short while, but no matter how good the sealer, the grease soaks thru. Try another wipeable material for the countertop.

How about your drain line? You said the water lines were on the other side of the wall, how about getting a drain line out there and at the right height to keep things flowing downhill? That's somewhat of a problem for outdoor kitchens (not on a deck or porch).
@TheHobbyShop13 жыл бұрын

Looks great but the vent hood seems a little overkill. Do you think you really needed it? Also, I love the way you plumbed the water for the sink. What did you do about the drain?
@rogueengineer4 жыл бұрын
The vent hood is a necessity with the vaulted ceilings and screen porch. I forgot to turn it on the other day and the porch filled up with smoke pretty quickly.
@gregj26474 жыл бұрын
Rogue Engineer - good to know. We are finishing up on building a new house with a screened in porch and I was hoping to put the gas drill in there during the winter to at least get a little use out of it here in Minnesota. During the warmer months, the grill will be on an open patio. Love your channel and I’m a long time subscriber. It would be fun to have you guys do a video on the entire house now that you’ve been in there for awhile. 👍
