A family of 5 watching you from the UK and been planning our van build for our European road trips, you are a great inspiration. Its a shame we don't have these big pick up trucks here, so we are planning on using a box van to attempt a build to seat and sleep 5. I would be binging on all your build videos to learn everything. Would be following you on all your journeys, its great fun.

It CAN be done for 5! We’ve seen other families, esp abroad, doing it. Just have to get creative with sleeping arrangements. Wishing you the best of luck! This is the best thing we’ve ever done for our family of 4 :) Appreciate your support and thanks for watching! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions- can DM us on IG or FB :) or our website www.overlanduncharted.com

Great video. From buying the 5500 RAM to getting it fitted with a box. There’s no pulling a camper or driving a motor home that’s a city block long & fits virtually no where. A real Earthroamer costs $1.9 m plus options. Building your own custom home on wheels that will probably go anywhere the Earthroamer can go is a smart alternative.

Thanks!! Good points made there. Plus we know where every nut & bolt is should something need repair. sounds like a win win to me! Thanks for watching 🙏❤️

Man Cabo looks so cool!! That Morgan company might make a decent box but man is their customer service absolutely terrible. I hate yall went through all that BS with them

That seems to be the trend with companies these days! We will show you around Cabo this winter!😁

I want to build a box truck to use on a remote ranch and on BLM land to graze livestock on (cattle,sheep,goats) on and to pull a complete portable Veterinary Clinic on wheels and to be self contained and also have room and be able to carry extra water and to carry scientific equipment to do earth science research and together scientific data, that can be published and also used for educational purposes. I have also been looking in to buying a new box truck and trying to compare the costs and the hidden costs of a new box truck to a used box truck. But I am only a college student. Both the box truck and the portable Veterinary Clinic on wheels has to be securely built because it will be used in areas that are there are mountain lions,bears,and wolfs. Nights and Days filled with possible wildlife encounters. Regards Hope

What size of box did you get installed? And what dry weight did it add
@OverlandUncharted Жыл бұрын
It’s a morgan landscaping box. 14 long 8 tall and wide. The box weighs about 2500lbs

Why not put on a flatbed truck camper and call it a day?
@OverlandUncharted2 жыл бұрын
We didn’t want to do that. RV quality sucks for the most part and rather built it out to our specs.
@hanklee65292 жыл бұрын
@@OverlandUncharted OK, I get that. But you lose the sleep space over the cab with the box vs a camper. I plan on doing my own poor man's earthroamer with a used F350 and customized truck camper. Good luck with your build.
@OverlandUncharted2 жыл бұрын
We didn’t lose sleeping space over the cab. We could have got a attic on our box but it didn’t make sense to have it the way we wanted it laid out. That is another reason we went with this design. It just work perfect for us. 😁good luck on your build!
