DIY OWL Pillow

This is a a simple tutorial on how to make a super cute owl pillow. I love owls and I have this exact pillow on my bed in all my tutorials. It is great decoration. A ton of you guys have asked me to show you how to make this owl pillow and I hope I do not disappoint.

Really cute pillow..TFS. Wanted to give you a tip for the owl eyes....if you would like to sew them on rather than gluing them, look for clear thread instead. The thread is also pretty strong, another plus.

I have made two owls without patterns and they've both turned out fine, they're nice and soft for kids (no buttons, just felt for eyes). Now my 8 year old grandson wants me to make him one too.

l liked this a lot.... I traced the wings and eyes on applique material... leaving a little extra space around I cut out the shapes...(**use a pressing cloth between applique and your iron) and ironed them on the wrong side of the fabric.. then cut them out... 9score the paper on the back with a pin and the paper should peel right off)... then ironed them in place (will deter fraying) and will hold them in place before using a blanket stitch (no pins)... I used the one that is on my sewing machine. These are too cute and my granddaughters will love them...happy sewing

Adorable idea. I love owls so much and this is just so adorable. I will make these for my children for Christmas. I think they will just love them and more so if Mommy made. Hi, well that looks easy, great job but was wanting to know did you use a sewing machine to sew around the outside of the owl

Yes, I did use a sewing machine because it is much faster, but you can hand sew if you want

Once you get everything done and sew the two sides together do you still do the blanket stitch or just sew it with a machine. I don't usually sew but you made it look easy! It's so cute!!
