Yasssss!! It's like we're back in the Soup rainy season! After the summer drought we now have a VERY welcome return of the camper - and what a return! It seems like just a couple of episodes ago it was just a bare skeleton, and now the exterior is (99%?) done, and it's on to the interior - what fabulous progress! Congratulations George, I'm so excited to see what comes next!

Congrats on getting it painted! No easy job with something so large. Love the colour. I'm a big fan of greys and browns and think they still have a place on the modern roads! As someone who was a longnhaul truck driver for years, I can say that the romanticised versions of van life you see on intagram are a facade of the daily struggle to get your pants on, but since it shit hot right now, good work!

I guess when it‘s finished a tour around Europe wouldn't be a bad idea. It would at least give you respite for a few weeks lol. Cheers Dave

The van is looking really really good. Great work! 😃 Boiled linseed oil will make the old plastics look a lot newer. Test it on a hidden section just in case you don't like how it will look.
@terryatkinson8992 жыл бұрын
I've used linseed oil and turpentine mixed together and brushed on, then wipe the excess off and it looks like new for months. Keep any leftovers in a jam jar with the lid tight to stop it stinking out the shed and evaporating 🤗
@D3nn1s2 жыл бұрын
@@terryatkinson899 also keep rugs out of that jar. Im not 100% if that was linseed oil but quite a few carpenteries burned out because of rugs left in some finish glass. Some are really flammable, in fact even when its just standing in sunlight. I guess i dont have to point out what would happen in a car lol
@terryatkinson8992 жыл бұрын
@@D3nn1s the rags I burn, the leftover linseed/turps mix is fine in a jar stored in a cool place til needed again.
