Looks great and so light. I have exactly the same bricks, looks also dark. Basical,y I don't like painted brick, but I have now watched a few videos here on yt. I have to say, IT IS RE A L,Y GROWING ON ME! I thought of bagging them, ,ike a mud brick house, but would not be this fast or relatively cheap , Great job .......Now the house looks less grumpy, lol

I LOVE how the house turned out ..It's gorgeous!! I would love to see your shutter video too. I've been hand staining a solid stain on our wood siding and it took me over a month to do the front alone. Do you think a sprayer would work with solid stain on wood siding? I also just made wood shutters for our house too. Sounds like we have a lot in common💗

Girl. Your original lime wash video was one of the posts that inspired me to have mine done. I was my disabled husband's caregiver at the time, so I hired someone to do it for me. We worked out the sprayer technique that we were both satisfied with, and he went for it. It looks amazing. I'm so glad I did it. Don't be afraid to use the lime wash in a sprayer. It works great.

So good to know! People ask me all the time and all I can say is I don't know because I haven't tried. Overall I was so pleased with the limewash but didn't want to hand paint ever again. That is one DIY I'll never repeat haha but I'll definitely use the sprayer over and over!

@@FarmhouseLiving I agree. I’m waiting for a price drop on the Wagner control Pro that you used on your house and your shed. When it comes into my budget, I’m going to get it and do my shed identical to yours, except I will be adding a lien to porch on one side with a metal roof. It will be just a garden shed, but I think it will be adorable.

I'm spraying romobio micro grip primer and masonary flat right now. The only one draw back is back brushing the mortar joints. Ridiculously slow and time consuming. Overall stellar finish and unique for michigan. Not real common in this area yet

You have inspired me to work on outside painting. The question I have and maybe you can answer or one of your subscribers, what colour do you paint eavestrough? Do you match it to window trim colour do you try to make it blend so it does not stick out? HELP!

Did you take a SW color sample to Home Depot to color match the masonry paint? It looks beautiful, we’re hoping to paint our older brick home this summer!

Yes! If you go to the Home Depot paint counter and tell them a SW color they can do it. Sometimes they ask me for the paint number so I'll google it and pull it up on the Sherwin Williams website :)

Thanks for the video. We're redoing a 1970s ranch and someone previously painted the brick an ugly brown. The brown paint is in good shape. Do you think the paint you used would work well for repainting? I want to paint it white and add cedar shutters.

It’s just the natural wood! I need to seal it so it’s weather proof. I was thinking about putting the stain weathered oak on it to give it a more finished look but it won’t be much of a color difference. Thanks for watching Susan!

Never use paint on brick no matter what the can says….use colored stain so the brick can breathe. Paint will eventually peel

This is so beautiful! Question: Does the masonry paint allow the brick to breath in the same way the lime wash does? We will likely be painting our brick later this summer and I'm still trying to decide between paint and lime wash.

So I limewashed my last house and used masonry paint on this one and both seem to have the best texture and claim to be breathable. I trust that the limewash is more breathable and I know it’s durable because of how it held up on my last house but the application just took FOREVER! So I think both are a good option but I really wanted to spray. They claim you can spray Romabio limewash but I haven’t seen anyone do it.

Did you still like the longevity aspect of the lime wash vs paint? I am leaning toward limewashing my house. The paint looks amazing but I don’t really want to invest in a sprayer and have to upkeep every few years

Hey! From a look standpoint I love paint and limewash equally. As it comes to durability, Romabio claims that limewash will last much longer than typical masonry paint as it calcifies to the brick but I'm actually very confident my Behr Mason paint will last. It's breathable like limewash and on the reviews many had had it for years. It's only been a year for us but so far it's held up great! So I love the paint and lime wash equally but I will never hand paint a house again like I did with the lime wash. It took DAYS. Two weekends of constant work and I was still touching it up for weeks noticing spots I missed. Was it easy? Yes but just so time consuming. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you it took us one single day to paint the ENTIRE exterior of our home with the Wagner Sprayer. One day of one person painting at a time. And it looked so clean, crisp and professional. My neighbors didn’t believe it was DIY. I truly believe the investment is well worth it. It costs $230 but looks like you paid a pro (which quoted me $10k) to paint. Romabio says on their website that you can spray lime wash but the rep that was helping said she suggested using their brushes. This was a long reply but in short both paints are good but the sprayer is SO WORTH IT. They sponsored this video but I asked them too because I loved the sprayer so much!
