"I never thought the whole plan through, I'm doing it as I go along". (11:40) Sounds like a perfect place from which to try to teach someone else how to do it.

Yes, you want to measure the radius of your bottles what is half of the diameter of your bottle. That is like most basic math, but results are more important than how you end up there.

Getting my Foam Werks set tomorrow, I need a caddy to hold paints while I'm working on the model railroad. I'll scale down what you did to hold about a dozen craft paints. Thanks so much for sharing, Chuck RVRR

Fantastic idea Deb!! I love that you can see all your colors easily!!!! Hmmm.... I'm thinking real hard how I can do that with my limited space. That foam board is really sturdy.... I made a configuration box with foam board and it worked great. It's so easy to cut and assemble. Thanks for sharing this!! It looks great on your desk. xx Claudene

Thank you Claudene! I have mine horizontal, maybe you could make yours vertical? Just a thought! Foam Core Board is really sturdy! I am making a marker storage now. Will be happy to have all my storage issues in check! lol! xo Deb

It's from our mistakes/boo-boos that learn and improve for the next time. I have paints everywhere and have been looking for an inexpensive way to store them and you just have me the perfect idea! I'm going to be able to put them closer together to get more on a sheet. I may have to double up the foam core so that it doesn't collapse. And I think the idea of putting a row across would be good as well. I don't have one of those circle cutters so that's gonna be a tough one to figure out to get them nice an neat. 🤪 Thank you so much for showing your idea. Keep on crafting! ❤️😸

Hi Deb, I just caught up on Monica's video and now I need to do some catching up here. This was quite a project.That circle cutter was very cool. That is really beautiful with all of the colors. The white shows the colors so nice. Would a old film container fit or a pill bottle. That could be the watered down white that you make splatters with. You know I think I have a mistake in everything I do. I call that my signature. LOL Hugs

I actually fixed that hole! I cut a larger circle to cover the hole with the right size hole in the middle and glued it to the front! It is not noticeable! However after all that work, I have another paint rack on order! My DIY rack is too small for all my paint! lol! TFW! xo Deb

What an interesting idea. Is the final placement/positioning of colors in the rack done a certain way, or random? Such a nifty space saver. Don't worry about the larger hole, stuff happens; you can keep a favorite painting knife in it or even a Sharpie if it's deep enough. Keep creating! 😀
@artzology5 жыл бұрын
The colors of paint are colors together... I like it like that. The larger hole has been fixed! I cut a much larger hole that fit in the space and then cut a smaller hole that fits the paint and glued it on top. Works perfectly. Thanks so much for watching!
@janetvisochi-baum75727 жыл бұрын
what a fantastic idea Deb! it looks like a work of art - so colorful. what would happen if you cut out that same size circle and closed up the hole from the back. then you can cut out a new hole to fit your paint ~~ janet : )
@artzology7 жыл бұрын
I can no longer get to the back. Everything is glued together! I was thinking of cutting a larger circle with the craft paint circle in the middle, then gluing that to the front! I am trying this today! If it doesn't work, I can always use my heat gun to remove it! TFW! Hugs, Deb

This is awesome, Deb! I've been working on reorganizing my craft room this past week myself, scouring Pinterest and YT for alternative storage ideas. I've already got my paints in Raskogs though. What the heck was the cutter you used for cutting the foamboard? It looks like it went through it like butter!
@artzology7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Kim! The tool is a circle cutter from FoamWerks. It does cut like butter if you read the directions, lol! Hope that helps!

Thanks for responding so quickly, Deb! I found the FoamWerks straight edge ruler and circle cutter on Amazon, but I wanted to know about the cutter you used @ 2:30 into your video.

Ack!...never mind, I just found it as well. Looks like FoamWerk's V-Groove cutter. You're such a star for sharing this with us, thanks again!!
@bamagirlinflorida5 жыл бұрын
What was the straight edge cutter you used at the beginning of the video? The one you held flat against the foam board and ran alongside the ruler, not the circle cutter? It looks so much easier & safer to use than an exacto knife!

Foam core board is cheap! You can get it at staples or the dollar store. The tool is from www.logangraphic.com/product/foamwerks-cutters/logan-wa-8001-foamboard-circle-cutter/. I cant remember what I paid for it! Sorry.

artzology I might stesl your idea, but later this summer. I think it might work well in the little stand by the desk I am using. It is a old tape cartridge stand, those big tapes, I can stand up the 2 oz bottles on the shelves, but I think putting them horizontal would hold more, maybe - and even if not I would be able to see the colors better. I would just need to fit the holder into the existing self.
@artzology7 жыл бұрын
That is a great idea Meri! In case you didn't see in the video, I measured 2" across and down to find the centers. This gave me about 1/2" between each hole. Hope that helps!

Cool, I Think it's Awesome...Sorry you cut yourself :( Deb would a Bottle of Deco Art Writer Fit ? It's just a tad Bigger then the paint...Did you check your empty Bottles? I know on Amazon I got an empty Bottle with a Black Nozzle tip that's the next size up from the regular paint size, you could fill it with Gesso or Glue,or a Medium...Nice cutter, once you read the instructions :0 I do the same thing cause I get so excited...think we would learn after all these years.... TYFS LYBM XOXOXOXOXO PS Have a Wonderful Easter with your Family Deb.

LOL! Yes... read instructions first not after! I will find something that fits that or I am going to cut a circle to glue on top of it so I can use it for craft paint! I will fix it for sure! Happy Easter to you and yours! LULOTS!! ♥♥
