When you install those brake pads, put like.. Business card or a 5 cent coin in between on the trailing end (on both sides of the wheel). And THEN tighten them. This will help ensure the brakes don't squeak when you press them

It maintains approximately 40 km/h on a flat road and 30-35 km/h on a slight incline. I haven't measured yet how far it will go with a single charge, but I'm guessing around 20km.

@rhiantaylor3446
@rhiantaylor3446 Ай бұрын
@@bozpet 3x batteries fully charged will be 63v. (3x5x4.2v). You can open up the controller to check but they will probably use 63v caps which would be the limiting factor - most other parts will be fine if you avoid long term use of full power.

Parkside batteries don't have under voltage protection, if you ever overdischarge them they will never charge off the parkside charge again. Buy Aldi/ferrex batteries they are protected. I made a 84v pack from parkside cells but used a jk BMS

@@ErCanEverything yeah I have a bag of some 30 of the boards still that where removed, to start charging the battery must send a handshake saying 'charge' every few seconds, if you deliberately cool or heat the temp sensor the handshake changes and charging stops and you get the red flashing led on the charger. If during charge or discharge a cell goes out of spec then once again the handshake changes and the charging stops, but this error is logged by the chip and it will never send the normal 'ok to charge' handshake again. I have found no way to reset this so from that point the battery is a paperweight unless you charge manually somehow. I do not know and have not checked if in this state the chip still performs a balance function on high cells, if so just connecting 20v would do, I may test that one day, but I'm not hopeful

@titisacha8601
@titisacha8601 27 күн бұрын
This not a problem, if brakes have good adjustment. Lot of bicycle for race have rimbrakes, and in mountain speed is more 40 km/h.😊
@raziel8321
@raziel8321 24 күн бұрын
@@titisacha8601 it is a problem, especially in the case of emergency braking. The performance is simply significantly worse, and the vulnerability to wet and dirty conditions is high. You can't compare it with road racing bikes, which are used in highly controlled conditions. But even there, disc brakes have long been established. And the braking performance of a road racing bike is really, really bad compared to a modern mountain bike. You can build DIY bikes like this, but in the end it's still a really bad bike.

I greatly respect your work, but dislike the bike... gonna need disc brakes and quality hardware at those speeds. I know from experience that speed will destroy that frame and every bolt on the bike. I would prefer that you stay safe and continue making great videos! I hope that you did this to show what is possible and then promptly recycle the bike.
