I bought a callus shaver about a year ago, but I still haven't summoned enough courage to use it. Don't want to end up with 9 toes.
@abetweene5 жыл бұрын
i dont blame you. I used these for years when i was younger, but i dont anymore, so by all means feel free to just use a foot file. It may take longer (a few rounds of soaking over a couple days) if your calluses are really thick or split, but it still works. Especially if you’re intimidated
@missjohnnyhayes5 жыл бұрын
@@abetweene I usually just use a Ped Egg for my heels, but watching you use the shaver was really helpful (thank you). I never really understood how to use it properly and thought I'd end up cutting into non-dead skin. Next time my feet get extra callusy I might give it a try.
@kathykov15 жыл бұрын
Please don't use it. Like she said it's against the law. Also the pediegg is nothing but a mini cheese grater. Find a good file and file away. But not too much. You could smooth it out too much and end up with cracking. But that's still better than slicing open your foot. Now to watch the rest of the video. I was only 1:15 in when I saw your comment. 😁
@terribabers25215 жыл бұрын
DON'T DO IT... speaking from experience I've done it successfully AND I have slice my foot. It ain't worth it😬😂 it HURTS like HELL. I now use a large grader like the peg egg, but it's larger. And follow up with a large pumice stone. Both I've seen being used in the nail shop. I found them both at the beauty supply store. The finish result is super smooth without being terrified of cutting myself. Good luck 👍👍

@tyra64495 жыл бұрын
Chris how do you take care of them during the winter?
@potatogirl3655 жыл бұрын
tyra same way as in summer - use the stone every time I take a long bath (every week or so) and file down all the dead skin. Then put heavy moisturizer, my favourite is one for working hands from The Body Shop with cannabis extract. I feel like friction from socks is working like peeling in winter + I don’t wear open shoes so they are less exposed to environment and crack less. And I can actually moisturize and enjoy it and not sweat it right off. Summers are brutally hot here.
@tyra64495 жыл бұрын
Chris ohhh okay thank you!

Feet would tend to be more dry in summer because we wear them exposed and that dries them out, whereas in winter they are usually protected by socks. At least that's how it works for me.

Loved this video...helped my crusty feet tremendously, thanks 😊 ❤️ Do you know what I could use for my dry hands, like a mask or something?

honestly its more about how often you apply moisturizers since we wash our hands very often and transdermal water loss is the problem.
