BTW, She accidentally said 1 TBSP essential oil… Instead of 1 TSP, if you put 1 TBSP in, it will be WAY too much! Only put 1 TSP, (NOT 1 TBSP).👍🏼😉 I made the mistake of that the first time then I noticed that the ingredients were in the note section afterwards.😬 Don't make the same mistake I did! Anyhow, Super Great video though & Great Recipe! Loved it! Thanks 👍🏼😉💜

This is the best bath bomb recipe that I have used so far. There are 2 things that made them turn out well for me: spraying the liquid ingredients does make a difference. Also , I did not realize that citric acid comes in a fine powdered form. This works really well for me because I can pack the mixture in a lot tighter. Mine turn out perfectly after sitting in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Thanks for the great recipe!

@@fukakes there's about 2 cups of mix here. The number of bombs would depend on the size of your mold.
@justsolynsey19497 жыл бұрын
It also depends where you live. The humidity in the air means some places will need to use more liquid than others. Also if ever your bath bomb goes wrong or won't come out the mould (my first batch worked perfect following Soap Queen) but my second batch disaster as I tweaked the recipe to try and make it a bit different and they won't come out the Moulds so I've crumbled them up and layered them in colour stripes in a jar to use as Bath Salts that you sprinkle into your bath as it will still fizz & smell nice as it's got all the Bath Bomb ingredients in but just not in a neat ball shape. They actually look really nice. Saves wasting all those ingredients. I finished off my jars with matching coloured twine and hand stamped label saying what it is-very vintage and great gift. Only thing is I had to break my moulds tho as they were well and truly stuck. I don't use corn starch and recipe I follow uses witch hazel NOT water as WH doesn't activate the mixture like water does. Definitely check out The Soap Queen!

I followed the recipe and only made a few changes, I used arrowroot powder as my starch, I used grape seed oil instead of the caster oil. So any3 teaspoons of water needed up being too much bc after I squished them into hard balls they started to expand and wouldn’t keep their shape, so what I did was double the dry ingredients and added just a tad more grape seed oil, work out perfectly, I did have to add maybe a 1/4 or a 1/2 tsp of water at the end bc by the time I was almost done it started to dry out a little from water evaporating

Made these tonight with 2 kinds of bath bombs-- citrus and rose. I put one in the fridge for 30 minutes and it did get hard! Not completely, but I will wait a day or 2 and check again. Also-- because it has been raining all day and we had a Tornado warning, the humidity is most likely to blame, but I was not able to use a full tablespoon of water. I could only use 1 tsp, actually. I tried ed it with a full tablespoon, but the mixture kept expanding and popping the molds open. So how humid your work area is plays a big part in how much water you can/can't use. Otherwise, awesome recipe!

Love that! Need to make these, those bath bombs are $4.00 each per bath. Could also put small Dollar Tree toys inside too for gifts, make pink for girls, blue for boys. I plan on making a bunch of these.
@kendravorhiesflores75868 жыл бұрын
this is a great recipe,however it took me more than once to figure out you should not be using 1Tbs in the wet mix! you only need 1tsp! I used 1Tbs as instructed the first time and the bath bombs ended up expanding in the mold and were not able to be used. 1Tbs of water is way too much it "activates" them. I tried again with 1tsp of water and they turned out great!

Tip 1 - Don't use epsom salt they attract moisture. Dead sea salt work well. Tip 2 - Don't use food colour it will stain your tub if it has light scratches. Buy water soluble or mica powder. Tip 3 - Buy polysorbate 80 and mix with oil at half the amount of oil. (10ml oil = 5ml P/80) Will make it disperse in the water and allow to soak into skin rather than just floating on top of water.

Can I have some advice. Just tried making these and used the exact recipe and when I put them in the mould they start to expand and push the mould open.... also the mix Is getting wetter and wetter. Did i activate it by accident? How can I fix it? I tried adding more dry ingredients and it's still happening. I only added the wet a teaspoon at a time too
@nleach433 жыл бұрын
This happened to me just now too. I think her recipe is wrong. I think she says to add a tablespoon of essential oil when in fact she only does a teaspoon. I’m going to try it again using only a teaspoon.

Andrea Miller the problem is she says to use 1 tablespoon of essential oil which is WAY too much!! Her recipe says 1 teaspoon not 1 tablespoon and that's why yours is too wet. I did it 3 times before I realized the problem 🙄
