Thanks for mentioning the alternative of using sandpaper to round the corners and square up the top. Makes a big difference to people like me that are just starting out and don't have all the normal tools.

This is a nice plant stand! Great build! My husband is getting handy with projects & considering I'm up to 50 plants this would be great! Rubber trees, peperomia, lots of hoya, monstera, pothos, fiddle leaf fig, snake plants, tons of ivy, string of hearts, string of hooks, string of pearls, venus fly traps, spider plant, jade & many more! I need more places for them all lol thanks for making this detailed video!!

Nice project. I have only two minor suggestions. I would have purchased a 1 x 12 pine board and trimmed it down to the 10-inch size. The second would have been to coat the wood with a clear waterproofing agent to prevent water from being absorbed into the bare wood when someone waters the plants.

Great build! I would like to see a little more about the actual finished product though Question for ya: is there a reason why the pocket holes had to be drilled from underneath? I know it's generally to hide the holes, but wouldn't the platforms end up hiding them if they were on top anyways? Should be a lot easier to get the drill into as well
@aaronfixesstuff3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That’s a good point, I didn’t think about that. But yeah, the pocket holes can be on top because they will be hidden by the platform.

@scottmohan17794 жыл бұрын
Hey Aaron, was wondering if and how you sand the ends of the table legs and supports. I've noticed that I end up with slightly contoured ends, which then leads to gaps once I've glued and screwed them together. Any advice on this problem? Would I be better off leaving the ends as they are after cutting? Or sanding the piece only after it is assembled? Thanks!
@aaronfixesstuff4 жыл бұрын
Scott Mohan if you buy nice wood, you shouldn’t need to sand it. Another option is to assemble it all and then sand. That way you don’t get a gap at the seams. Does that help?
@scottmohan17794 жыл бұрын
@@aaronfixesstuff yes, thank you Aaron. I also realized I can sand the splinters from the saw from the long edges and leave the ends as they are.

The wood I used was not treated because it will be indoors. You can make it out of treated lumber and put it outdoors, but it will probably not be as pretty. You can also seal the wood of you want to go that route. Let me know if you have any other questions!
