Pearls come in many colors and there super easy to reproduce here's a quick video on faux pearls using mica powder, these will need to be sealed after baking.

The secret is to use a good sealer. Varethane works well. Once the Pearl-Ex Powder/Mica Powder is baked with the clay it becomes part of the clay.

Hi Lyn, If I made these in a round ball shape with no hole in the pure white pearl powder, could I color them with alcohol ink to create the mercury glass little vintage looking Christmas ornaments like Tim Holtz does with his round pearl with baubles? I have always found the urethane sealer gets sticky after not being used for a few years, so I don't like to seal my polymer clay pieces.

I don't know what it's called but I do have a tutorial on alcohol inks over mica powders but I didn't think about that...hmmm! I don't seal often but on things like mica powder it's a must on jewelry.

Hello! Dont they scratch ? I've always struggled with mica being so sensitive and transferring :( I can't use resin as I'm allergic and varathane and Fimo varnish all ruin the shine

I used Rustoleum Gloss Glaze (water based in the Furniture repair area) it 's Glossy without being like resin. Put it one with little brushing, you know one stroke(don't over brush). I hope that's helpful...not like YT not telling me I have comments...lol. Thanks!

Hi Svetlana, they are Pearl-x mica powders and I believe they just came from Michaels(the craft store) most craft stores carry them. Let me see if I can find an amazon link and I'll add it to the description on this video.
