Interesting choice going with Android Auto HUD unit. A very smart one since then it's hard to make it out dated since it uses your phone more than the built in OS.

Хорошая работа. Правильное разделение платы и акустического объёма. Но боюсь, что итоговая стоимость изделия очень высокая. Создавал аналогичный бумбокс, но добавлял солнечную панель на корпус, цена даже с учётом использования б/у деталей или отходов выходила за рамки готовых изделий из магазина. Но зато не такое как у всех, может играть бесконечно долго, особенно солнечным летом.

Как я подумал, тут 4 канала раскиданы на нс/сч с твитерами через пассивные кроссы. А мне видится логичным оставить 2 на/сч с твитерами, по 1 му на канал, а остальные два канала мостом на что то узконаправленное в нч

Very well built, only thing I would have done differently is added 2 more lipo packs one in each speaker compartment and wire them in parallel for even longer runtime. I like my music and loud too !!

@@davidhamm5626 The unit has FM built in, it just needs an antenna socket on the back (or screw a telescope aerial into the top of the radio). You can also get a USB adapter to get DAB on these things as well.

Good DIY but the concept misses out in ability / strategy to tune the drivers to the box volume to make it sound great normally needs accurate equalization and lpf..hpf filters placed correctly in frequecy spectrum..

Thanks, i build it to be portable but the speaker compartments are pretty close to the ideal size for a sealed box with 4 inch speakers like this one, its also a budget build, i used a simple 2 way crossfire on each speaker, the sound equalization output can also be adjusted in the dsp settings in the radio, in my opinion it sounds great, for even bigger bass output it needed to be ported but with 4 speakers the box size would be much bigger, this small speakers are pretty good, they will sound great on a ported box

The thicker the wood, the better the bass sound. Adding an air port sized for the box, and using particle board instead of wood will also help with the sound.

Nice build, there's too much bass though. Replace the top 2 lager speakers with 2 mid range ones would give a more natural balanced sound.

@@DTeK nice you need to think about music being equally balanced rather than too much bass. many people do set things with extra bass, to me it doesn't sound that great. dont get me wrong I play, guitar, Bass guitar, and ukulele. so I have an idea on this. having to much booming bass, you cant hear the vocals, and other instruments that well. Just my thoughts

For those asking If you were to build it yourself, based on the parts list, your looking to spend probably $200 But considering I doubt everyone has that briefcase looking thing I doubt everyone would be able to replicate this exact build. For $200 I'll just buy a prebuilt one from the store.

Nice built! I would have never thought of using a car radio head for something like this. That's just brilliant! And I think that there are some with HDTV built in as well??? If not, as long as there's an HDMI input (good if one on the inside) an HDTV box (tiny version) could be added to make this a portable TV as well.

@DTek may i ask why u use an car radio as an amplifier? There are sooo many good Class-D amplifiers like Wuzhi audio which come with 2.1 or something like that. They're about $20 and sound impressive. Maybe you should give it a try:)

Fun build! You should consider using ferrules on the bare ends of wire into terminals rather than slathering everything in hot glue!! Easier and less messy if you ever need to swap anything out. Less chance of a bad connections too.

@@davidhamm5626 just because it is common practice doesn’t mean it is a good one. Typically it is done as a cost saving measure to avoid using ferrules plus keep the wiring in place during transit.
