That looks like a 7.5A IEC plug. The 10A version has a keyway between the A&N terminals together with 1mm2 cable in the lead. Many jug cords are 10A but all computer cords I've seen are 7.5A.

If you want to seriously protect the circuit, buy a residual voltage device (RVD)to protect outlet circuit you can buy plug and play ones, about $300 dollars.

They need to offer a flat right angle 3 pin plug at the inverter end. To suit inverters mounted to false walls at front of canopies. Neater entry into and behind false wall.

Hi Cam Nice recommendation and nice piece for self installation I would go for it with closed eyes and order it if I would need it today. Compliments : You have the most recommendations for the nitty gritty things to make our life easier and safer. But : What borders me much about the Australian standards is the copy of the shittiest plug system in the world !!!!! 🇬🇧 2 flat pins in an angle or straight depends on the country with No retainer housing around is a huge design flaw in my opinion. Yes, I am German and used to have plugs what never fall of the sockets. German power plugs and sockets are in the way design that the housing locates the plug and 2 spring retain in the socket retain the inserted plug. Needless to say that the 2 round pins are for 230V and the earth is connected to the spring. It’s a shame that the AS does not allow us to use German plugs and sockets in my van and drawer system. Let alone the 230Vpower supply plugs on all OZ vans outside. Piece of cheap Chinese plastic! This is absolutely not a complain about Cam’s recommendation just my own opinion on the damned plugs which fall to easy out of the sockets in my van. Have a nice day .. Cheers

@@mebenderjnr5055 cheers mate! Not sure exactly why, but I guess circuit protection (fuses, circuit breakers, RCDs etc are generally hidden away somewhere on caravans and cars etc.).

@@SUPERTRUCKER166 flick me a link? I’ve only seen the ‘soft wiring’ ones that would have to be hard wired to your inverter for this sort of application (so you’d need a sparky to wire it), and then their own proprietary plugs and extensions leads to power points from there.
