What a great little project! Although it’s a relatively simple build, it’s opened my eyes to a couple different ways of connecting materials together that I hadn’t thought of before! Very inspiring! I’ll be adding this to the ‘future build’ list!

That's a neat project Tom. You could put a couple small notches in down the length to make a pipe rest out of that too. Have an awesome weekend and happy piping brother.

Great video as always! Seems like a good craft to practice whittling, always a good skill to keep sharp! Have you ever made a burned-bowl? Where you slowly blow on a hot coal placed on wood to create a hollow; we made some at one of my boy scout winter camps, it was nice to work on something so warm in the cold, but certainly was far more time consuming than this bowl.

What type of areas do birch trees usually grow I would like to make some birch tar and test it against pine tar
@diycimbrer Жыл бұрын
I believe it only grows on the northern hemisphere 😉 so if you live one the southern part I don’t think you’ll find it Thanks for your feedback and support 🏕🔥🌲Tom
@nullsnaggle5198 Жыл бұрын
@@diycimbrer I do indeed live in the north but all I see around here is black birch do you think that would work?(also just tried to make this out of cedar and it went very poorly)
@diycimbrer Жыл бұрын
I’ve never tried black birch 🌳 but I think you should try My guess is it’s almost like the birch wood 🪵 I use 😉 Tom
