the anvil is a thing of beauty and I love your technique for bending the copper. Nice work.

Thank you for the jewelry instruction. You have a perfect little set up. I have a slightly bigger anvil but it’s smooth on the bottom so I would have no way to attach it to the wooden block. I’m going to work on the idea though and see if I can make something that would work. The bone necklace you are wearing would be called a medicine wheel amongst the Native Americans. It’s a very sacred symbol. Yours is lovely❤️🤗🐝

Hi Tom. In the U.S. there is a company called Blacksmith Supply that sells a 4"×4"×4" (roughly 100mm × 100mm × 100mm) "stump anvil" (named so due to the fact that they're designed to be driven into a stump in order to use them) for $85 (USD). If I were starting out in metalworking, I would definitely look into one. I think it would be a much better value than a cheap cast iron anvil like I started on. Vintage blacksmith equipment is ridiculously expensive for the most part, unless you come across something by luck, as in a "garage sale". Back in the day, stump anvils were common because they were used to thin the edges of scythes before finishing with a stone, but they were generally fairly small & light.

Omg😮 Your genius. I have lots of metal rods, and lots of files. The real genius is the bending, thats awesome. How did the selling go. ? Damn I'd have bought one in a minute. Thanks for the ideas. Nothing like a little life hack that blows your mind.

@@diycimbrer No way. Where are you selling them? It has to be location?
@COEYRN2 ай бұрын
@@diycimbrer I'll buy one. Niw how would I do that. I'll pay shipping fees if you can't forward them. Or are they thin enough to get through the mail. I used to mait sea shells to my cousin? They were pretty thick.
