This whole line just seems like a negative to me. The whole reason I buy Koch Chemie products is because they are so concentrated and 1 bottle lasts forever. I don't see this being super successful unless they get into Autozone, O'Reilly, or Walmart. This line needs to be directly in front of your average consumer, not people who are already into detailing enough to sift through thousands of different products online.

I’m sorry, but $20 for a 16oz bottle that’s only gonna last 2-4 cars (depending on which product it is), just seems like a much worse value proposition, but perhaps that’s the “catch”? You don’t have to dilute, so you’re paying more for the convenience?
@imjoshv6 ай бұрын
Yeah for sure. Products like green star and pol star are so cost effective but you do have to dilute and even the name I feel like causes they diyer to stay away. This is much easier to use for that person. I’ll be doing a test comparing magic wheel cleaner and nano magic shampoo. It’s the same name but I think it’s a slightly different blend, but for the magic wheel cleaner this is actually a better cost per ounce

might try out the bug and organic solution. Bugs on top of PPF are absolutely terrible to clean, they etch in and stain. Still looking for a good product to combat this. I've been using CarPro Bugout for this and while it works pretty well - with a scrubber, I'm looking for something a little more potent.

Josh, I just purchased a paint depth gauge and was wondering what you would be unacceptable readings both in microns and mils to work on?
@timkinley17795 ай бұрын
Paint depth guages are for reference only. I've seen the same guage get three vastly different readings from the same location. I have had three different gauges, each proclaiming some great advantage. The technology isn't there. They just give a reading of something. Who knows what? Had a paint rep and high end paint guy make jokes about paint depth gauges and the snake-oil sales pitch. And I really wanted them to perform as the name suggests. They don't, regardless of how bad you want them to. I have had two identical units (straight out of the box) get different readings from the same location. Different enough that the readings were useless.

This is for sure marketed to the pro consumer. The avg consumer could care less and uses whatever Walmart sells. It’s very obvious. Myself I’m the weekend warrior and likes to wash once or twice a week, use pro products. I’m huge P&S fan, 3D, Jescar, Carpro Descale for full decon wash before waxing. Daily wash soap P&S pearl soap. Microfiber towels are all from The Rag Company. Costco microfiber towels for interior work great. Just remove the lame tags

Hard pass. The only way i can justify the cost of koch Chemie is the fact they have great dilutions. RTU consumer grade products at $20 with no large volume offerings is just a money pit. If you're new to detailing, get yourself a tiny measuring cup and a Dilution calculator on your phone, pro grade products work better and immensely better in value.
