DIY PUFF SLEEVE WRAP TOP from Men's shirt - Me-made Summer Challenge - Ep 2

Hi guys,
How is your summer going? Did you get any idea for your summer wardrobe? I would like to share with you an idea on how to transform a men's shirt into the cute puff sleeve wrap top. I think it'll be perfect for your summer outfit.
And this wrap top is my second DIY for my "Me-made Summer Collection" for this special summer.
Some information for this DIY below:
Sewing machine: Merrit Joyful Sewing
Material: Men's shirt in XL size
My body size: Small size (82-64-92)
And don't forget the "Me-made Summer Challenge" is still on until the end of this month July 2020. So let's make a DIY and join me in this challenge.

I just finished making this top! It was a tad difficult since my men's shirt didn't have that yoke area you cut out and I also didn't want puffy sleeves, but it was so much fun to make and I love how mine turned out! Thank you for your tutorials ❤

Hi I made this from a man's shirt last weekend! It's my first time sewing a shirt haha... lesson learned: 1. need to be careful with sleeves, I cut it instead of ripping from the seams, which removed the seam allowance... in the end my sleeves part wasn't successful. 2. would be helpful if you could also give us the measurement of original shirt as mine ended up having less fabric, so the wide band in the hem becomes narrow band 3. need to learn how to proper do this "sew loose seam then squeeze, then fit into the sleeve" thing 4. how to pin properly the hem band and sew narrower seam? I was afraid it doesn't cover both side of the hem or miss the stitches so my hem ended up a bit wider which is not pretty. Overall it still looks nice, I just need to improve those details! :D

Great detailed explanation and great style, again. I'm guessing that for those with larger breast you mean to gather the bottom of the shirt into the tie?

Yes. Gather the fabric at the front to shorter the width of the end. So it'll create the are for the breast when wearing. Because my breast is quite small. So I don't really need it. But it'll be helpful for someone with a bigger breast.
