Hahaha the smells! I can relate but someone told me to use vinegar in place of fabric softener and it CUTS all the smell!!!! They come out smelling so fresh. Hope that helps!

I read something similar - soak clothes that smell of cigarettes in a white vinegar solution before washing them, to remove the stale smoke smell. You can also use vinegar in place of fabric softener when washing towels, so that there's no residue and they dry your skin better.

I think it needs to be a little bigger. It gives you the extra fabric you need for binding, waist band, etc.
