What kind of fabric is it specifically. I know it’s a woven fabric but what kind specifically. Will cotton work? Or would you recommend something else?

I used a Peach Skin, and yes - cotton would work! I have more information on the fabric and my recommendations in the e-book instructions that come with the pattern (linked in description) :)

that's a wooden tailor's clapper! It's super useful to take out any moisture after pressing and cool the fabric right into that perfect shape : )

Okay, wish me luck. I bought the pattern and I'm going to make it out of some light filtering curtains I bought.... I do know it will be a bit to quite a bit stiffer than this dress which I am fine with but my main concern is that I have never sewn anything like this before due to the fact that I have broken literally every single sewing machine I have tried to use. So this will be a rough and slow process for me lol. I will possibly hand stitch the whole thing but hopefully not. Like I said, wish me luck :)
