Really nice! Not much hazel in my neck of the woods, but I guess any kind of straight sticks will do. Thanks for posting, I really look forward to trying this out!

Hazel is easiest to get in my area, but anything straight should work. They are nicer when sticks dry out a bit more are stiffer and lighter. Glad you found the vid useful.

hey roestalker, you can cut a bicycle tube in small pieces, so you get very strong and elastic rings.pull these rings over the hazel sticks and so you dont need a bangee cord. looks prettier and works great. sorry for my bad english and keep up your good quality and your nice way to send messages out, waidmannsheil!

My sticks are 70mm on the front and 40mm at the back from the pivot points, as I mainly shoot at night then I can see the back pair and I don't get a poke in the face. To answer your question I just put my thumb over the back of the stock and lock out the sticks off the ground and move to the spot, only a short distance method. Any further then I shoulder the rifle and move to where I need to.... I deploy my sticks with one hand in a well practiced movement much to the cost of many a fox.lol Tim

Lol. I am sure they dont look as nice are your pair :-) Take care, Greg
@theessexhunter13059 жыл бұрын
RoeStalker Yes lol, What I do with mine is to open them up quite wide which in turn makes them just over hip height, then when my rifle comes off the shoulder it can go right on the sticks in a flat movement. When the sticks are up in the shooting position it means the rifle can sometimes point up in the air, also it takes a lot of more control to swing the gun up high. Once I have the gun on my sticks I then set the height by pulling one set of legs in with my free hand. A simple method ensuring the muzzle is at very best pointing flat and not up. Tim

The Essex Hunter Have to try that, it takes me too much time to set them up sometimes. Just need more practice. What do you do if you need to move say 10m, fold them down or move with your rifle on sticks?

@RoestalkerCoUk9 жыл бұрын
DB
@predatortikkat3tac6259 жыл бұрын

You will have to test them on a hunt and let us know how you get on.
@RoestalkerCoUk9 жыл бұрын
I have already done that see last two hunting vids. They work fine, maybe just have to shorten the top of the sticks an inch or two
